Signature Restaurant Etiquette Question

I apologize for posting two different topics at the same time but I wasn't sure this topic would go along with the other one.

We are having dinner at the California Grill the second last night of our vacation. Our ADR is for 6:00 and Wishes that night is at 8:00. I am not particularly bothered whether or not we are still in the restaurant by the time Wishes starts because if we finish early we'll just check out the gift shops and then head back up to the observation deck with our receipt.

However, because it is our only signature meal, I would like to take it slowly and relax! We were planning on ordering a bunch of appetizers (a few flatbreads, maybe a salad, a few sushi platters) plus drinks and dessert. Would it be considered rude to order one appetizer at a time? We are planning on splitting everything, so could we for example order a flatbread and share it, then order a sushi roll and share it, then order another flatbread... etc. I don't want to CM serving us to be upset or think we are strange!

Is this okay to do?

Thanks!

Just let your server know you are not in a hurry and want to take your time during this dinner and they will probably want to take appetizer orders at once, BUT let them know you want one at a time brought out and they should be able to plan that they come out at separate times.
It is your dining experience, just let them know what you want. We have done this at nice restaurants and have had no problems or questions about it!
Hope this helps....enjoy!

The last time we were a California Grill, our dinner was about 2 1/2 hours. We ordered cocktails, then apps, then entrees after we finished our apps, then dessert with coffee and cordials. Also, between apps and entrees, we walked out to the observation deck to watch the sunset and take some photos. They are more than accommodating there...some of the best service in WDW.
If you're looking for a quieter dinner, ask to be seating in the wine room. You don't have a view of MK, but you can see Bay Lake, DTD, & Epcot. Gorgeous views!

It should be fine. We do things at CG just like Duchess_99. IN fact, it's how we always order at any restaurant these days--one "item" at a time.
Even when they insist othrwise and suggest they can control the speed of when things come out. We've found that usually they CANNOT!!
