Sign-ups for library summer reading program start today!

Gonna be a busy busy day in the library today. People start lining up before we even open. There are only so many spots available for story hours.
There is the at-home program. Pledge to read 15mins/day 5wks of the summer - come in for the end of summer reading party mid Aug
Story hrs - 3 diff levels; 2 dates for entertainers

And of course kids need to get their summer reading books for school.

I get to wear my 2003 Summer Reading t-shirt & shorts today - need to promote Read! Think! Create!

Ours did last week, our kids have been out of school since last week but they don't have a limit of readers to sign up, anyone can sign up at anytime. My kids did last week.

Not sure, but we are going today.

We went on June 13th and my son got his first library card. He was soooooo proud! Now I find out that my dh's cousin (who is here from Maryland for the summer) took her kids in last week and got them library cards using their great grandmothers address and got free bowling coupons and state fair passes! Would it be wrong for me to go in and ask that my son get the same? Why should he be penalized for signing up a week earlier? My 13 yo is mortified that I am even going to ask for such a thing- but I don't see anything wrong with it!

Our summer reading program at the library started about a month ago (when school let out around here) and ENDS this week. We still have a month and a half of summer so I'm not sure why they are ending the program so soon. Weird.

the limit is on the story hours (usually 15-20 per class)
- the read at home program is available to everyone

And yes do take your DS in to sign him up for the summer program. This is totally different than getting his library card. We also have the coupons available to those who sign up for the summer program.
