Back in 1995 we were spending Christmas at the YC ~ one night when entering the lobby we saw Regis hiding behind one of the trees in the lobby, trying to avoid being seen! It was kinda funny! ~~Well, Christmas Eve Morning I was having coffee reading the paper in the Concierge Lounge, I was seated at a table by the balcony ~ who comes in and joins me at my table ~ Regis!!! I said "Good Morning" to him ~ he looked at me and Grunted! ~~ok I said to myself, I suppose he is not a morning person..... well he did join me and was just sitting there with his legs crossed.. just swinging his leg back and forth looking out of the window..... so I trying again to make conversation with him. I said I felt bad for him last night.... I saw him trying to avoid people.... he turned and grunted again.... stood up and "well, didn't you get the hint"! ~~~ Well, I think he should order room service!! ~~~ If he didn't want to see people then why did he come into the lounge that morning!!

Any way we did also see the orginial Riddler from Batman Frank Gorshwin (excuse the spelling) he was a wonderful person! And the Yacht Club is a Fantactic Hotel to stay at!

I am new to this site and it is GREAT!!!!!!

My Dh saw Harrison Ford at the GF health club late one night. He joined my DH in the hot tub. It was just the 2 of them. Harrison Ford was very shy but introduced himself and shook his hand. Of course he never came up to room to get me. I only get dream of Harrison Ford!! I am not surprised Regis is gruff and rude. He comes across that way on T.V. too. I guess he shouldn't have joined you at YOUR table if he wasn't in the mood to be polite.

Thank you! That is how I felt, I thought it would have been rude of me not to aknowledge him! I would have made polite conversation with whomever joined my table!

I can't believe you missed seeing Harrison Ford in the hot tub. Unbelievable! I bet you were mad at DH. Even though it would have been pretty obvious for him to jump out of the hot tub and come running back with you...but it's Harrison Ford we're talking about!

We saw Naomi Campbell in World Showcase last year. She walks really quickly. Long legs, I guess. She's just as beautiful in person. I don't see how she can tour Epcot in wedge sandals though. Fashion before function, I guess.

Hettie- I think my DH was worried about remaining my DH if I happened to get to my hands on Harrison Ford. Back then I was 22 and weighed about 105 soaking wet! to believe I thought I was FAT!!!! Oh well I guess I wouldn't have brought my DH down to see Naomi Campbell either. You do what you gotta do I guess!!

I think Regis portrays a different personality on the air than he does in real life. We went to see the show once, when he and Kathie Lee were still hosting, except the day we went, KathieLee was off and his wife Joy was co-hosting with him. During the commercial breaks, he just talked to the staff and Gelman. His wife, on the other hand, was lovely, talking with the audience, taking pictures with people etc. Gelman was a pill too. I kind of lost the glow for Regis after that.
