Yep...that's the place. I'm not positive but I think I saw somewhere that the building may be at some point (in Disney terms) refurbished for your future enjoyment.

It was in the "theater" - about 1/3rd of the way up. It was a place you could buy pins and pick up quests. But it was filled with other merchandise as well, so I'm sure it will survive.

They shut those down last year. They said they were doing other things for VMK in the parks. They did somewhat, but not much. What happened to the areas they were located in the parks? I don't know since I can't get to a park.

I don't visit there. I am just trying to clear up that it was not all inoccent posters that were banned, like some people seem to think.

No one said all the innocent were banned, but many of the banned were innocent, yes some YAGEd in defense of their friends but other got banned for really just posting a question, one of my friends got banned for asking a question of you about why you were happy, an innocent question, others mention food and they we banned, other jumped on a song train that I see over and over on this board and were banned. Some were posting fluff and got banned.

I will say this again this was handled in the most riduclous way possible. All of this could have been addressed by the DIS to the people who were making rude, horrible commetns and accusation instead someone's trigger finger got real itchy on the ban button.

ETA I do feel bad for CR and disyfav and the people who were causing you grief should have been dealt with but NOT in the way the DIS did.

And the flip side to this is that not all of the banned people were evil incarnate like some people seem to be implying all over the CB, and this thread in particular.

I've never said that everyone who got banned was a horrible person, and in fact I've spoken to some of the banned since the bannings. I still stand by my previous statement that anyone who thinks they were banned unfairly should just e-mail the admin, and maybe the could get reinstated.

And are you naive enough to believe that this wasnt done immediately after they were banned and in the weeks following....????? they sent numerous emails and were ignored over and over again. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me for posters who promoted their site, were sponsors, and utilize the companies who advertise here.

Staying on topic>> I miss my friends! *waving to my peeps* There are still people banned who weren't even online during that banning, and people who used the same computer, but both people got banned even though only one did anything worth being banned for.

Quite honestly, I miss seeing "four" or more sides to a story. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't mean your mind isn't open to see the other side. That was one of the great things about the CB.

It has changed, but I am not sure what can be done. Sadly I feel that it is part of the ebb and flow of boards.

I think that there has been a lot of hurt on the DIS for a number of years now. My theory - take it or leave it - is that once upon a time we all had a single person upon whom to heap our anger and disgust and when he was banned, well, all that anger and disgust just kind of oozed out all over.

I know that I personally watch what I post because I don't feel like being ridiculed or dogpiled upon.

Every once in a while I take a chance but usually I just hide under my rock although I do lurk because there are people here that I care about and I try and keep up with their goings-on.

I don't foresee a time where I will ever feel as free to post as I have in the past.

I suppose that a new group of people will come along eventually and they won't carry the baggage that we oldtimers do and perhaps it will be fun for them in the way it was for me.

I have been ignoring them for the last few months, and for that matter anytime I talk in the present tense about them, it really should be past tense since I have no idea what they are talking about now, I'm just assuming, but I don't really care since they don't know the whole truth, and are just going off their opinions of me, which I know are low, but I don't really care what someone I've never met thinks of me.

There's a quote from somewhere, and I have it on one of my accounts, "those who mind, don't matter, and those who matter, don't mind," that's exactly how I feel.

But I can't just read threads like this one that say those people did nothing wrong, without replying, that's just the way I am. If these threads stopped, it would be out of my mind.

I do understand what you're saying, and maybe every single person on that board did make fun of you or spread lies, I don't know, but I do think trying to put it behind you is best, keep trying to do that and know that if they are making up things about you that says more about them than it does about you.
