Well, if you are asking for comments, I dislike political sigs. The rancorous political debates permeate too much of modern life these days. I come to places like this to get away from them. It's not a question of agreeing or disagreeing and it's not that I don't think those issues are important. I just don't think this is the place for them.
I think the statue pic with his screen name is what he is talking about.
The pic is fine, I am guessing you'll shrink it though?
I don't mind the political line so much but I admit that I probably wouldn't like it if it skewed another way. There are plenty of these things (including overly religious sigs) that I don't care for, but generally it's easy to ignore them.
I don't like great big images in the sig, either. I know Disboards is more of a "community" place than some other forums, but sometimes it just goes overboard. Big sparkly names and all that - I'm sorry, I just don't see the appeal of them. They're also more bandwidth to churn through and they can make the page a lot more to scroll through.
And I'd definitely take a shorter, wider picture any day over a tall, thin one.
(In case it wasn't obvious - it took me a minute to figure it out - Anewman is using three pictures there, in sequence to look like one single picture.)
See I dont really consider it "political", more humor than anything else. But I can see where Mark is coming from, I one time had a poster ask me why I was attacking the president like that. It is an ACTUAL QUOTE, how can it be a slam if he actually said it![]()

I don't mind a lot of sigs but I have to agree that many go overboard. I finally just turned them off. The people with the giant sparkly sigs are happy and I'm happy. Well, happier than I'd be if I had to wade through them.I don't like great big images in the sig, either. I've never seen your signature. No, I'm not going to enable sigs to see if yours would be one I consider too big/flashy.Are these comments about my signature?
I think my kids and employees consider it to be a moral imperative.but pointing out the dumb things people say isn't being respectful.

Right.
Groucho and GrumpyOne the reason that I asked if it was my signature is because I am kind of new to posting on the photography board and I thought that if it was bothering anyone then I just wouldn't use it here.
