Shuttle Time from Saratoga Springs Resort?

Although I booked my family at Boardwalk Villas ten months ago, some of the older members of our group decided -- with less than one-month to go -- that we needed more room to be comfortable. The only larger villa we could book on such short notice was at Saratoga Springs, which is a Downtown Disney, or Bonnet Creek, Resort. I am pleased with the write-up on what the new resort has to offer, however, I am worried about not being at one of the four Park resorts, as we were before. Has anyone had experience shuttling from Saratoga Springs to the four parks -- does it seem that much longer or more convaluted than the shuttle from, say, an Epcot resort (I know we could have walked to Epcot from Boardwalk)? We go in less than a month, and I just want to know what to expect . . . with regards to loading up on the shuttle in time for rope drops, etc.

Thanks!

We stayed there in October & the bus system was great.

Since they are still building & not all the areas are open yet, the occupancy level is never high.

The buses seemed to always be there & we never waited more than 5-10 minutes for a bus. The bus only makes 2 stops (1 for the main area & the other for the guest room area). We always got to the parks quickly.

The buses were NEVER full & we always had a seat (even during the busy evening times).

Hope this helps!

We were there in Dec and never had any problems with the buses.

I was a little worried the day of our CRT, since our reservation was 8:20 am, but no trouble then either. Good luck and have a great time. We loved this resort.

We were there in October also and found the buses to be very good, just as they are at OKW. At some of the parks, OKW and SSR share a bus stop, but they have seperate buses.

BTW, I am not sure staying at BWV is necessarily closer or less time to do Epcot in the mornings. We like to do the parks early, and from BWV, you have to walk to International gateway and then through World showcase to get to the front of the park. There is no short or easy way to do it. The SSR and OKW bus stop at Epcot is very close to the front gate, and it only takes a few minutes to get to the park.

Many thanks for this detailed info. on Saratoga Springs. -- I feel totally reassured. We were actually more happy with our Saratoga Springs villa set-up, but I had this lingering worry that I had far removed us from the feel of being "on property," even though Saratoga Springs is a Disney Resort. I truly can't wait (23 more days!); thanks for giving me one more thing to look forward to!
