Shuttle Launch

so i got to see the shuttle launch yesterday since im in florida, and it was pretty cool. My family went to KSC yesterday and we got a spot to see it. The drive home was terrible though! it took 4 hours to get back to saratoga springs after bumper to bumper traffic. I took some pics but i havent been able to put them on yet, But i will once i get home. Has anyone ever seen a shuttle launch in person?

i actually saw a space shuttle launch by mistake and didn't know what it was

it was last year, we'd got off the plane and i was pretty tired. I then found out that the shuttle launch had been changed from the 7th to the day we arrived so i planned on trying to watch it. We got to Epcot to get my aunt's AP and i went out with her just to take in the atmosphere. I looked up and saw something orange in the sky and it disappeared so i thought it was a random light or something. Then we saw people looking up at the sky, we asked what they were looking at and they said the shuttle had launched then it came to me the orange light was the shuttle.

Awesome! I'm jealous!

I saw Columbia go up a few years ago. We saw it from The Boardwalk. We actually didn't know a shuttle was going up and we rented one of the surrey bikes and noticed a lot of people standing around waiting. We asked what was going on and they said Columbia was going up in a few minutes. So we stopped at one of the bridges and watched. It was fantastic, even from so far away. i'll never forget it. I'm getting chills just thinking about it!

we were at my house one day, I was outside and I saw this orange and yellow fire smoke come up. It was a shuttle. I loved it. It was so awesome!

Awesome! This post made me go look at the NASA site and they are planning a launch on the 20th October, I am there October 8th - 22nd so I hope this goes ahead. We aren't going to KSC though so we'll probably see it from Disney.
