What a treat. Was heading back to All Star Movies from Epcot right before midnight and bus driver points out the space shuttle is taking off. Sure enough, there it was. Didn't expect that when I planned my trip.

Wasn't it great? I drove up to Cocoa Beach with my boyfriend after his band played at a football game, and we sat out on the beach. There were a bunch of other people and it was cloudy and dark, but then the entire sky lit up and I could see everyone on the beach. We could hear it, too! I was sooo excited, the closest I've ever been before was about 1.5 hours south of there.

We're on the west coast and had our best view yet. Finally clear enough skies to even see the first seperation.Got to track it very well for some time, until it dropped from view behind the neighbor's house.

Not as good as being there, but the kids were excited to see it never the less.(Me too.lol)

Most times, during the day for sure,it's only visible for a couple minutes.Would've been even better if we had a cutoff switch for the streetlight.

I'm pretty close to Disney, but I was in bed when it went up...so I looked out the window to watch as DH was sleeping..I was worried my view would be hampered..

Well the sky LIT UP...It was amazing...I continued to watch, then I saw the GIANT fireball in the sky...I tracked it for a while. One of the BEST views I have seen in a while...
