After checking on the Shuttle schedule at Bonnet Creek, I am concerned about how my family will be getting back and forth to DW.. I was told that the last shuttle is before the parks even close. We are planning to go to the park's everyday. Is there another bus we can ride and get close enough to Bonnet Creek to walk?:cool1:

you could probably walk from CBR. But, a cab ride from the BW, OKW or CBR couldn'r be very much.

If it were me, I'd spend the money on a rental car. I do enough walking at WDW as it is.

there is a problem walking from CBR to BC - first of all you would have to walk all the way to the road. then there are the security guards.

you can just walk behind - because there is a creek between the properties.

get a rental car.

It still isnt that far if they had to walk. I doubt the security guards would have a problem with you walking out of the resort.
Stiil, Can't imagine a cab would be more than a few dollars, cheper than a rental car if need be.

you would be walking along a very busy street - plus I am talking about the WDW security guards - not the bonnett creek ones.

I don't think there is a path to get you into CBR that doesn't go by them. Now could be wrong.

Pat, I realize that, but why would they stop someone from walking? Trust me, I wouldn't want to walk it, but sometimes people just can't rent a car. I think there is s side walk along that street from MGM until Bonnet Creek, I could be wrong.

there is a sidewalk but it starts at CRB.

for the same reason they stop the cars - thieves!

they were one of the first WDW hotels to have to start having security guards because of their thief problems.

I don't think telling them you want to ride WDW buses because BC don't match your schedule will get you on the property.

But the OP would be LEAVING CBR. I don't think they would stop you at all. They don't stop cars from leaving.

And when you got to Bonnett Creek you should have a room key or something to show that guard.

Now I probably wouldn't do it. (And would OKW be closer?)

That's what my train of thought was too.
I think the entrance to OKW would be farther.

well if they are only leaving - then maybe.

but still that road is really busy and besides the sidewalk stops at CBR.

I am going this March and will look to see if there is anything that is pathway here.

but I think that creek thinks is up to the road? I am remembering a fence thing right next to the road.

no, OKW is not even on this road.

now I have walked from POFQ to OKW a couple of times - that is not hard. but you don't have to get out on the busy street - there is grass that you can walk through.

now there is a path through the woods - but I haven't walked it from OKW to something? (guessing POFQ - but don't know for sure).

but the way those drivers go I have not even taken the back way from Pop to CRB - they just drive to fast. (and they are connected) - bus driver took us one night.

There is no sidewalk between the resorts. You would have to walk on the grass and drivers aren't expecting to see walkers when you are on the road. If that doesn't bother you then go ahead and walk but I think it is dangerous.

We stayed at Bonnet Creek just last month and while we rented a car to get to the parks and back...I think you could just ask the Shuttle Company in advance to pick you up after park closing.

We also stayed at CBR in the year 2000 before Bonnet Creek was built...so here's my 2 cents about walking:

The first buss stop is a long walk just to the guard gate and I for one wouldn't want to walk on the grass that is next to the road as the grass is really thick/rough, almost like walking upon shurbs.

Also there is not a path directly between the two resorts as it is heavly wooded with a creek where we saw a gator resting when we stayed at CBR (So much for my nature walk that morning) :scared:
