Shutters Question!

Does anybody know where to find 6x8 picture frames? We got our shutters pictures last summer and still cannot find frames for them. 6x8 frames are very hard to find as opposed to 5x7. Does anyone know why Disney chooses to print the shutters as 6x8's instead of 5x7's?? Thanks!

On our Royal Caribbean cruise this past summer some of the pictures they took were 6X8. I found some frames in this size at Kmart and Walmart.

Check a photography store. They have all sorts of sizes of frames.

We lucked out. DH bought a frame on the ship that he really liked and it was 1/2 price. (gottalove a bargain!) When we got home we realized that our 6X8 embarkation photo fits perfectly in it!

Specialty crafting stores (such as Michaels) carry these, but in a limited selection. The cruiseline sells this size also (conveniently!)

I have also trimmed down my photos to fit into a 5 x 7 (when the background trimming didn't take away from the photo) and have matted a few of them into larger frames.

I have never understood why they printed this size over a standard 5 x 7.

Also consider cropping/matting your pictures so that they fit in the next smaller frame (5x7). We had several of our pictures framed professionally and many of the 6x8's were matted down to the 5x7 size. Its amazing how much of a picture you can "chop off" and still have a great picture - maybe a even better picture because the focus moves to the subject and not their surroundings.

I just got back from our cruise a little over a week ago. I bought the package deal so I have 10 6x8. I bought one frame ON the cruise, but have bought three more since I've been home. I got two of them and Wal-Mart and one at Moto-Photo. The ones from Wal-Mart were actually Disney frames!

Since they are "larger" pictures, they don't feel quite as guilty for charging the prices they do. Even though 6x8 frames are very hard to find.
