I am trying to figure out whether its worth it to pre-order the all images cd. It looks like it's $194 if you order before you go. Can anyone give feedback? Did anyone not order the cd and regret it?
Thanks!

If you're unsure, but feel you have a decent chance you'll want the full package, it's best to pre-buy it. You get a discount by pre-buying, and, if you find that you're not getting enough photos to justify it, you can cancel the package for a full refund. As long as you do it by the last full day onboard.

We pre-bought the "all print" package and were able to take all the pictures home with us. We felt it was a GREAT deal! We took pictures with the characters and took advantage of doing family portraits before dinner each evening with the different backgrounds they would have up in the lobby atrium. I would recommend it!

You are better off getting the prints, as the quality of the digital images is very poor from a printing perspective. Unless that has changed in recent years (my last CD experience was 2011), you'll get better quality from scanning the prints at home or local photo shop.

First cruise was in 2012. Quality is pretty good for 8x10 prints. Pre order is the way to go. If in the end you do not take enough pictures, you can get a full refund, or apply part of it towards smaller packages. I prefer the 10 digital prints for example now that the kids are older.

I've made a lot of prints from the digitals and never had any problems with quality.

I'm actually sort of baffled by ordering the prints. I can't figure out why anyone would want a giant stack of 8x10 photos from their vacation. It seems really cumbersome to me. I prefer to print 4x6 or 5x7. I don't know what to do with 8x10s.

I stand corrected then, if the quality now is good enough to get high resolution 8x10 prints. That is fantastic news and may change our order for next cruise.

The photos on the CD we had were mostly less than 1 MB each, some were up to 1.3 MB and the quality was good enough for only 4x6 prints, at best.

We have 8x10 frames at home on our gallery wall that we update constantly with our latest trip photos. Many of my friends and relatives have the same, so we find them useful.

Just ordered the cd for the upcoming PC Repo. Since my roomie and I are splitting the cost, it's bearable.

I just looked at one of my photos and it's 3000×2400.

I googled and found a website with a good breakdown of good, better and best resolutions for print sizes. For "best" for an 8x10 they recommended 2400x3000 so it seems that the digital copies are just perfect for a high quality 8x10.

I've pre-ordered the package for the last few cruises & got my money worth. I no longer get the prints. I do like the 8x10's, but didn't need 30+ of them. I've never had a problem with the quality of the pictures on the disc either & it's been super easy to with print pictures that I want, or make a photo book of the entire vacation from Disney pics & our own camera's pics.

For a 7 night cruise, about how many pictures are on the disc? I know it varies for everyone...just curious!

I had no idea you could do this!! On our last cruise (our first) we bought the book and it was $150. I wanted the CD but the Canadian dollar wasn't doing so hot. I've always regretted not getting the CD...I believe it was $300 for the CD back in 2014, how much is it now if you don't pre-pay?

Here's the info I've put together:
PHOTOS (Sep 2014)
Individual prices are:

6X8 - $14.95

The packages are 6 ($99.95), 10 ($149.95), 15 ($199.95), and 20 ($249.95) photos. Different length cruises have different options. You can also purchase an all prints package (all your photos printed) for the same cost as the length of cruise CD.

The length of cruise CD cost varies with length of cruise. The prices I've seen are (for pre-cruise purchase/onboard cost):
7 night $295.95/$100.00 to add prints/$349.95, $100.00 to add prints;
5 night $249.95/$50.00 to add prints;
4 night $194.95/$75.00 to add prints/$229.95, $75.00 to add prints;
2 night $199.95/$50.00 to add prints

Special CD prices –

The 6, 10, 15, & 20 photo packages can be either prints or the CD with 6, 10, 15, or 20 photos unlocked for your access once home.

Recent reports have the prices for onboard purchases of the above packages at $50.00 more than the pre-purchase price.
