Has anyone purchased a photobook from Shutterfly?

Last trip I bought one from Photopass. I liked it. It arrived quickly, but their so expensive.

Last night I looked at all the inline photobooks, I Shutterfly had the most backgrounds and layouts that I liked - only no Disney touches.

If I use a cd from a share, will I be able to upload to their site?

HI

I did photo books from Sam's Club at Christmas they turned out great. They take about 2 weeks but the will ship them directly to your store if you have one in your area. No shipping costs.

Good Luck

I did my trip book from Shutterfly and used lots of photos from the photopass cd without any problems. You can still choose lots of fun and colorful pages on Shutterfly, so even thought the pages aren't Disney it looks great!

I have ordered book from Snapfish, Shutterfly and Winkflash. They are all about the same.

I just ordered one from Winkflash they had a special for $18.95 I got 100 pages! I just used red and black pages. It came yesterday and I LOvE IT!!! I hope they ahve this special again next year so I can make a book like it from our trip this year!!

I've made several books using Shutterfly and they have all turned out great. There are various price ranges depending on the page count and style you want. I actually made a really nice book with the leather covering for family photos but for our vacations I've been using the smaller almost child like size books. We call "where in the world.." not necessarily for just Disney but "where in the world.....San Diego, St. Louis, or WDW" We have a series going now and I thought it would be cute gifts for the kids when we are old.

Wow! OK, so I thought I had check-out all the online sites, but it seems I missed a few.

Did any of you ise a copied Photopass cd from a share group?

I have gotten books from Shutterfly with Photopass pics in them and they have never asked for the release. If you want to see my book, go here.

That one uses all Shutterfly templates.

is more recent and is all digital scrapbooking pages, but also printed through Shutterfly.

I love the Shutterfly books. If you want to know more about digi scrapping, feel free to pick my brain!! OR check out my blog (link in my siggy)

I second the idea about Picaboo! I wrote a blog not long ago compairing it to the Disney photo books. The backgrounds are so much better. Here is the blog I wrote: http://sheneedstoknow.com/shopgirl/2...disney-photos/
mirandag819, Thanks for the info on Picaboo. How was the quality of the finished book? Did you ever post a video to show your finished album? I ask because I found that site last year (LOVE all the background options) and started making a Disney album. I stopped working on it because I did my Christmas cards through Picaboo and I didn't think the quality of the printed photos was very good compared to the cards I received from other people (Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc). So, while I would love to use them for my photobook, I would love to hear more about the quality of the finished album. Thanks so much!

I got the free photobook from Snapfish from the Oprah offer using my Photopass pictures and it turned out wonderfully. The backgrounds and layouts were a bit limited, but good enough. My only real complaint is that the last page was an ad for Snapfish and HP.

On the digital pages, what size do they need to be saved as to make a book like you made? Thanks!

Another one to check out is Blurb. They're at www.blurb.com

After being disappointed in the quality of Shutterfly, I tried Blurb and LOVED them.

Does Winkflash still have this special? It sounds like a great deal! How is the quality compared to snapfish.

I make 12x12 jpgs to make the 12x12 books. I could also order an 8x8 book from the files if I wanted to.

I just went to your blog and saw the book you did with shutterfly! It is awesome! I would love to find out more about digital scrapbooking. I was a traditional scrapbooker but have not done anything in a long time, I feel I lack creativity and then pulling out all this stuff that my daughter wants to get into....and so on and so on! :rotfl: Anyway, I just recently did a book with Picaboo, and I love it! But I do love the fact that your book has the scrapbook embellishments, it looks great! Plus digital scrapbooking makes a lot less mess! :lmao:

I also wanted to ask what kind of camera you have? Your pics are GREAT!!!

Here is a link to my Picaboo book, I am pleased with how it turned out, plus I had a 50% off coupon, so it was only $32. The quality is awesome too, I couldn't be happier.

I've used Shutterfly and Winkflash, and have to put out a recommendation for Smilebooks.com. Love all their options - so much more creative freedom than the ones with set templates.

They have promo codes all the time of at least 30% - just google "smilebooks promo code" and you'll find one. Right now they're offering a Valentine's Day discount.

You download the free software, create the book exactly as you want it on your PC, upload it, pay for it, and it shows up about 7-10 days later. They're based in Germany but the shipping is only about $7 so it's not bad at all and in spite of the distance, the books show up really fast.

I just did one from our last Disney trip and it was 34 pages (I take a LOT of pics... :rolleyes1 ), cost $32 with shipping, and showed up 7 calendar days after I uploaded it. Great quality. :goodvibes

I used Picaboo for our books from last year's trip...they turned out great! I had a buy one get one free offer...so I paid $40 for 2 hardbound books. They have so many extra templates and papers that you can download.

I like the idea of scrapbooking, but I am more of a computer oriented person...so this works out much better (and less mess!)
