DH and I have been coming to WDW for 30 years. We have our favorite restaurants and with the exception of Portobello's, generally stick to Disney restaurants. Years ago when the Yachtsman Steak House opened, they served prime meat. A few years ago they switched to choice. I don't know if they have switched back. Not wanting to pay prime prices for choice cuts, we opted for Shula's at the Dolphin. It was a great choice. Everything is a la carte, like Ruth Chris' Steak House. They not only serve prime but the 1% above prime. The sides are huge so if you order sides, plan on sharing it. I had the Cowboy steak, ribeye with the bone in. I ordered it medium rare and that is exactly how it came. DH had the New York strip, rare. Before the server leaves you with your entree, they ask that you slice into the middle to be sure that it is cooked as ordered. The salads are great. I had the chop tomato and mozarella salad, DH had the beefsteak tomato and gorganzola. It was all good. We shared the grilled asparagus. We had no room for dessert, but did have coffee. If you are looking for an excellent meal, you can't go wrong here. The meal and the preparation exceeded that of California Grill and if you are looking for steak, this is my first pick!
