I would put down the first three chapters of the book I just started, but it's got guns and murderers in it so I don't think it's exactly appropriate. I'll find something else though.

Okay, here's some random writing.

I was allowed to see Peter three hours after we brought him in. I almost crept into the room. Peter was looking less bloody but still pretty broken. I cursed under my breath that anyone would ever do this to a little kid. This isn't funny. It isn't a game. Not when someone's in a hospital bed. It was good he was sleeping, but I wanted to talk to him, to ask him who did this to him. It would never make sense to me if Peter was the one who paid the price when he was the victim. It wasn't fair. They didn't say anything, but the doctors were pretty worried. And my parents were freaked out. My mom was crying. My dad was angry. And Peter might be dying. I closed my eyes for a moment. And when I opened my eyes, I knew what I had to do.
I will avenge you, little brother. You have my word.
