Inspiried by BernardandBianaca's latest question thread (which I believe was inspired by me, LOL), and the fact that I am very new to scrapping, I thought it would be wonderful for people to post some of their first pages. A lot of people commented on how nice it was to see how far they have come, and I think it would help a lot of others as well.

I'll start. I posted these in the Virtual Scrap thread already, but so you don't have to go looking through that I'll post them here. This is my Snow White's Scary Adventures layout. It's not my very first (I'll put a few of those up later today though, to get the thread going) but it is my first attempt at something that big.

So, show us yours! Don't be embarassed, even if you aren't "proud" of them - if I can post mine you can post yours, LOL.

Aw, I bet your pages are awesome! But thanks so much for the compliments. :)

Here is my new Pooh layout in the Virtual Scrapbook thread, but here they are (I wish those Sandylion stickers photographed better - they are seamless on the pages!) :

Buffy, they are great! Where did you see all of those animals? That deer was really in your back yard! Yikes. I thought I was the only one to do movies and tickets. :) I've done a few of them and they look just like your page!

Thanks for sharing!

Those are all great, guys! I loved the bubbles around the castle in yours, Buffy, and that AK paper is beautiful.

Keep sharing!

Okay, no one laugh! :teeth: Here's mine.

This is they very first LO I ever did. I went to a continuing ed scrapbooking class and it was taught by a CM. I copied the entire border from a page pattern she had. I still like it even though it's totally not my style now.

This one is probably the 4th or 5th one I did and I still love it. But can you believe I still haven't gone back and titled or journaled anything. :rotfl: Each petal is my eldest Dd one month older.

This is my first attempt at getting away from CM style scrapping done a few years ago.

Let's see the polar bears and the elephants were at Roger Williams zoo in RI, the blue heron and the deer were all in our back yard at our old house here in CT we had 6 deer and 52 wild turkeys one year and a red tailed hawk too, I haven't gotten around to scrapping the turkeys yet. The coyote was in Joshua Tree on our drive to cross country when we moved to Hawaii, it was in the middle of the road and wouldn't move so we had to sit there finally our dog got it's attention and moved to the side to get a better look. I rolled the window down just enough to get a clear shot or the dog would have jumped out the window. And the Flamingos were at the Cape May Zoo in NJ.

The bubbles were by accident, Tigger actually had a kite in his hand and I cut it off when I was trimming the pic, I had bought Pooh embellishments and they were holding butterfly nets so I took a net and turned it into a bubble wand. I cut the photos because I didn't want all the background mess with it. The bubble stickers I bought and they just happened to have hidden mickeys in them too.
The AK paper is from the AK kit from WDW. I have redone that page twice, I wish the hotel picture was bigger though. It was the very first picture printed. I may still redo it. That was the view from our room btw.

I can't wait until they open the DVC at AKL, I'm buying in there!

I'm too lazy (and too embarrassed) to go and scan one in right now but I will tell you that my early pages were all about the decorative scissors. I used those puppies on everything. I have about 36 pairs now and I NEVER use them for anything.

My next phase was the "cutting pictures into shapes" phase. I still will do the occasional circle or oval but I WAY overdid it in the past.

Decorative scissors - check (tons of them)
Every picture a circle or oval - check (pages and pages of them)

NEE, do you have my albums? Do I have yours?

Of course, I'm now all about squares and rectangles, matting and color. I wonder what will be next...

Mickster, it's very possible!!

I'm sure in a few years I'll look back and laugh about something I'm doing now. I don't think the industry is going to stop coming up with new and innovative products and ideas for us anytime soon!

I too have the 1000 scissors my kids play with them now. The only ones I really use are the Mickey head ones but very rarely. I can't seem to cut a straight line with them even if I draw a line. I do however like the tearing rulers by plaid. I use those on paper all the time.

Here are the my first pages out of my sons' scrapbooks. Notice the use of decorative scissors and photos cut into shapes. :teeth:

It took me about 2 hours to get these pictures loaded on here. I had to take them about 4 times each in diffferent places in my house to get the lighting so you could see them (still didn't turn out great). Then I tried laying them on my ottoman only to have the dog jump on page #3, notice the wrinkles in the page, I may have to redo it, at least the pictures survived, the paper just got wrinkled.

Any suggestions on how to take pictures of my pages better?
