THANKS!
It was the hit of the wedding.
Everyone at first thought it was real and couldnt belive it was a cake.

I love all these cakes! I am not going to be a disney bride, but I will be in WDW for my honeymoon! I am just starting my wedding planning & I'm stuck on what style of cake to have. Looking at all these pics of cakes is giving me some ideas. Those of you who have had groom cakes-when did you have it? The rehearsal dinner or the day of the wedding? I would love to do one for my fiance, but am not too familiar with the whole process. Is he suppose to know about it or is it a surprise? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks everyone! :bride:

My DF plays the guitar so I'm giving him his at the Reception. Then we don't need quite as big of a wedding cake. I am making it a surprise.

It was at the reception but we took it back to our room and ate it the next day with some friends right before we went to MNSSHP

But the truly amazing cake was the grooms cake.
My DH and I are gamers so it was only appropriate to have this cake.

My daughter recently received an engagement ring and has always wanted a Disney Wedding. In fact, she is graduating from college in 6 days and one month from now will be doing her Professional Internship in the Disney Wedding Services Department. She was one of the six candidates chosen out of a pool of over 1,200 applicants. So even though she will have the opportunity to see many many cakes and different style weddings, I e-mailed her a pic of yours ~~ It is beautiful ! I especially love the little touches you had them add . May I ask, how many people did you invite that looks like a huge cake?

Thank you so much 2006 Disney Mom! We were very adamant about having a wedding in Disney, but not a Disney wedding, but I needed SOMETHING Disney and the castle cake was the touch I decided to add :) We had 88 guests but the cake was made for 100 and we paid for a cake for 100. I wanted the 4 layers and the tier! I also asked specifically for the flowers to be tipped in gold and for there to be more details, which added on about $50. Most expensive cake ever, but totally worth it IMHO! :) It was such a huge (literally) focal point.

Good luck to your daughter! That is such an amazing opportunity. The DFTW team is a great team to work with. I loved my sales manager, planner and my floral manager. Just really great people. Good luck to her! Thanks again!

Its official for me too, we ordered this cake. Its not a Disney designed cake but they are going to make it for us. Phil is flipping out about the price and the service fee to cut the cake but what can we do, we need a cake.

In my BEO they have listed all white cake but I am going to change it to ivore. Disney is putting fresh floral on it with the battery operated tealights. My cake topper will be our Initial in crystals.

The cake serving fee is what got me! Could not believe how much that added up to!
When we figured out the cost of the cake per slice (I was doing an elaborate custom cake), we realized we would save money by having a less elaborate cake and adding Cinderella's slipper dessert.
Could not believe the cake serving fee was a percentage of your cake cost, not a set fee. They never told us about that. :sad2:
