Thanks

- there really is a difference. It's a shame that I couldn't get slightly better scans (I do love my scanner though, honest!) - I'm all the more anxious to pick up a true negative scanner now. The actual prints are really nice, IMHO, sharp and contrasty. I'm very happy with how they turned out and I only wish I'd taken more!
That's one thing that we don't get with digital any more - the excitement of opening up the freshly developed film, and the happiness when you see your actual pictures for the first time and you're satisfied with the results! (Of course, there's almost some clunkers, too...)
The dynamic range really is noticeably more with the b/w film. Next time I pull out the 35mm, I'm going to take some photos with the film camera and the DSLR, both in the same location using the same lens (probably on a tripod) to get a side-by-side comparison of just how much is lost with color. The Tomorrowland shot I posted certainly had detail in areas that would have been lost with color.
Here's some Big Thunder Mountain ones...
I've got 2-3 more rolls of 400-speed b/w and a 3200-speed roll... I'll have to do something with those before long!
