So I'm debating between a crossbody bag or a thin lightweight backpack for park days in June.
All I plan on carrying are my phone, ID, a water bottle, and maybe a few small snacks. I love the idea of a crossbody, but my ONLY drawback I feel is that the bag will 'cover up' all the cute Disney shirts that I'm buying for the trip. Lol. Vain, yes, I know. But I'm a Disney lover...the struggle is real, folks!
I would be able to better make my decision if I saw pics of people wearing theirs.
Are you willing to share?
TIA!

I used to use the drawstring backpacks but don't like the bounce against my back, also wanted something more sturdy. So I treated myself last year for Christmas I bought this loungefly mini backpack. I say "treated" cause it's $60 (got it cheaper cause of CM discount from a friend) but I love it. It's small enough but carries everything I need, I can adjust the straps and it's super sturdy plus cute :) I have my eyes on the Star Wars one they have at DHS

This is not me, but I have this bag but in a heathered navy color. I really like it. It's not too big, the strap is adjustable, it has a soft cell phone pocket and it can still hold a water bottle.

I carry the VB mini backpack in the midnight Mickey print. Unfortunately I have not seen them in stores in a few years.

Sling backpacks. Best of both words - wear across the back, slide around to the front for access.

But it will still cover your shirts.

Thats a Disney Celebration button on the outer pocket for size reference.

I have used the Vera Bradley Hipster crossbody. My last trip and my upcoming I used a fanny pack. I loved it so much better. My shoulders don't hurt with it and I don't care how I look with it on. I can also wear it as a crossbody or a shoulder bag if I want.

Behold, the Yens® Fantasybag Urban sport sling pack. The greatest travel pack of all time. I not only use this myself, I have gifted it to many appreciative folks.

I love my Le Sportsac "Everygirl Tote", its machine washable which is great as I sometimes get stuck in downpours at the parks in August, as I can throw it right in the washing machine when we get back to the villa.

In the heat of the summer, I prefer the Vera Bradley hipster. I find a backpack is just too much heat on my back all day! I know what you're saying about covering up your Disney shirts, I worry about it too. The best advice I can give is to make sure you take the bag off for your Photopass pics! The bag isn't that obstructive, but pics definitely come out better without it. (I always just leave it with the Photopass photographer.)

I'm right there with you, OP! I had a baggallini messenger cross body for our last trip, but all my photos, um, accentuated the girls, shall we say? But I REALLY like the crossbody feel. But I want a backpack sometimes too. So I got both in one. Haven't put it through it's paces, yet (we arrive next week) but I'm hopeful. It's a baggallini excursion sling. Cheapest price I could find was Amazon.

I use a Thirty One Vary You backpack purse. Can be used as a crossbody purse or a light weight backpack. There are several available on eBay. They come in a few different colors. The quilted circles remind me of hidden Mickeys!

I bring a backpack and then a crossbody cell phone case so I don't have to dig my phone out of the backpack. Disney-x-Vans-Old-Skool-II-Mickey-Mouse-22L-Backpack-_248921.jpg Screenshot_20170407-212847.png

IMG_5256.jpg IMG_5257.jpg I have both of these. I prefer the brown leather. I have used it for 5 years exclusively at Disney. Because I too like to be cute and put together at Disney. Outfit hair makeup. Everyday.

backpack.jpg EPCOT_BACKSIDE3_7312821230.jpegThis is the backpack we use. It is super lightweight and can carry a nice amount of stuff without getting heavy. It also acts as a water shield for the various electronics we carry into the parks daily. While it would cover up a good portion of the back of whatever you were going to be wearing, the cover on the front is minimal. It is a great choice if you want to go with a lightweight backpack.
