I know our poor Northern friends are still suffering with the effects of winter, but those of us in the South are noticing signs of spring! It's 86 degrees here today (odd, even for us!) Post your pictures. This will encourage our Northern friends that spring is, indeed, on the way!

I wish I could show you signs of Spring. If there are any here its under the 2ft. of snow! :sad2:

That's a BUG?!?! I will take cold weather over bugs that size any day of the week. :rotfl:

What can I say? Everything is bigger in Texas! ;)

I don't think the bug is actually as big as it seems in comparison to the tree limbs. The limbs are very slender -- much smaller than a pencil, and the leaves are tiny. I think it was a bee.

Give us northeasterners a few more weeks and we can show you some signs of spring. I went to the state park here yesterday to see if I could see any of the eagles that have been there and almost all of the lake had a skim of ice on it again ... it was thawed last week but a few days of cold again took care of that.

the first sign around here from a couple weeks ago, the snow melted a couple weeks ago and hasn't come back...hope it's gone for 8 months or so:) but we usually get the last one in April.

Those pictures are all lovely! No signs of spring here in NY - we just got 6+ inches of snow!!

I know spring is showing up other places now! Show me!

I don't have a picture---but the weather here is 60ish today and I saw my first fly of the year. The temperature is supposed to go back down into the 40's and 50's this week, but I can definitely tell that in a few more weeks, I may actually be able to wear short sleeves...or flip flops even!! :thumbsup2

It's spring here, but the wildflowers are pathetic this year. I'm not sure if it's because we didn't get enough rain or maybe something to do with the economy. I was going to lead a big group to do some kids in wildflower shots next weekend, but I scrubbed it.

BTW, I'm already running my AC here.

Hey, I found a crocus in the middle of my front yard yesterday! I didn't plant it, have no idea how it got there, but it was blooming!

We can't seem to decide if it's winter or spring...our spring from two weeks ago turned into winter last weekend...

...then turned back into spring...

[and those are the same flowers - hardy little guys, aren't they?]
