Should we wait and visit VWL first?

Hi Everyone-
We are on the verge of making the jump and buying in and I need some advice. When we visited in April, we stayed at BWV and loved it. We toured BCV and liked it just as well. We drove through OKW, but didn't like the "out-of-the-way" feel. Unfortunately, we didn't get to visit VWL. I'm trying to decide if we should hold-off on our decision until we can visit VWL. I'd like to go ahead and start enjoying our membership, but I really don't want to wish later that we had bought at VWL. (I learned here to buy where we want to stay!!). What do you guys think?

Our favorite part about BW and BC was the walk to lots of restaurants and the close proximity to Epcot and MGM. However, we spend more time at MK than the other parks. Is the boat from VWL as quick and convenient as walking to Epcot?

I've been focusing on the decision between BCV through Disney or BWV through re-sale, but I don't want to bypass VWL. Thanks for your feedback.

The boat to the MK from VWL is pretty quick and stops by pretty frequently - that's not really an issue.

I would think that if you like the proximity to all the shops and restraunts that BCV would be the place for you. While VWL is our favorite DVC resort now, is more of a 'quiet' place. Not out of the way as you described OKW, but just quieter... Good luck with your choice!

I am a owner at VWL and HHI, have just recently stayed at VWL for six nights in a two bedroom. I have also stayed at BWV and OKW I love those places too. Depending on what type of trips you would make may be the real choice in where you should buy. BWV and BCV are great for the restaurants and especially the easy access to EPCOT and MGM. If we go with a younger crowd looking for a little nightlife, those places can't be beat. However, those trips are usually short ones (3 Nights). When I plan a large family vacation, my brothers, sister and parents, I always will choose VWL. One of the most overlooked features of VWL is that its located on Bay Lake with access to the Seven Seas Lagoon, if you enjoy biking and boating this location is truly exclusive to VWL, so far as DVC is concerned. Though OKW, BCV and BWV have boat and bike rental, none of them have the huge natural area to use them. It’s more like a vacation away from everyone but in the heart of everything. The access to Magic Kingdom is fantastic using the ferryboats. I truly love the place. Now when I make a golfing trip, the only place to go is OKW, its laid back and right on the golf course, the perfect setting for a three-day golf blitz away from the parks. So the choice is yours, action, relaxation or a little golf, the choices is yours, but remember you can stay at them all.
I've only been a member for one year and the only complaint I have is that I've missed out on the first ten. The best purcahse of a lifetime!
