Hi everyone,

I have 2 poly lagoon view rooms booked for 4 nights in May. Then we move to 2 concierge rooms at AKL.

I'm wondering if we shouldn't try Poly Concierge. I've heard so much about it. There are some great websites with AKL Concierge pictures.

Anyone have any Poly concierge pictures?

What have the rates been like for Poly concierge in May? I've seen on Mousesavers historical rates for about $289. Is that true?

Thanks zulaya,

I have tikiman's website book marked. It actually made my decision to split my stay with the poly.

I was wondering if anyone had opinions on poly concierge and rate info as well.

Can't help with May rates but if the cost is close...as it often seems to be with codes...I would do concierge gardenview over lagoon view. It's such a personal decision though.

We stayed at the Polynesian Concierge in September 2001 and loved it. I was worried we would be park hopping so much that we wouldn't be around the resort so much but that didn't factor in.

I agree the lagoon view room seems unnecessary because the view of the lagoon and castle in the lounge is so fabulous! I've heard great things about AKL concierge but my dd loved seeing the water pagaent from the lounge, the view of the castle and the monorail so we'd chose that if we had to.

but AKL and Poly have the two best concierges on property.

We stayed at the Poly this last year, first part of May, wasn't able to get AP rate, but DC discount was around $450.

Planned the trip last minute, but the Poly concierge is worth it.

July 2001 we did do a three resort vacation which included the Poly concierge and AKL concierge.

Felt like we got the best of all worlds when we stayed at both of those resorts.

Have a wonderful time planning!:)

Dear Lizzie64
From our review of the Poly
The Concierge Lounge

I can’t say enough about this wonderful place. The lounge was a major part of our vacation. It opens at 7:oo am we stopped there no less than three times a day and sometimes five. As an early riser I would head down sometimes as early as 6:oo am. The Staff would always have the coffee ready first. If you needed something they would always do there best to try to accommodate you. The food was excellent and the desserts were even better. As we are not huge eaters there was more than enough to fill us up. Having the bottled water was very convenient to take to the parks. The Lounge also had four newspapers to choose from, the Orlando Sentinel, The New York Times, USA Today and the Wall Street Journal. For those of you who have asked, is concierge worth the extra money, I would say yes without a doubt. I think most of us who have stayed there would find it very difficult not to go back.
