I would not book at ESPN in advance for lunch.

They don't take ADR's. You shouldn't have an issue getting a table at lunch time anyway (unless a MAJOR sporting event is going on).

This past December I went three times to the ESPN Club with my Dad to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs and not once did we have to wait to get in. Now two of those games started at 9:00 PM EST and 9:30 PM EST, so my Dad and I walked right in and sat down at one of their high top tables. Also during the 2nd game we saw they were also showing the 49ERS/Chargers NFL game on a Thursday night, however there wasn't any major crowds just because a Football game was happening. Finally the third game I saw was on a Saturday at 7:00 PM EST and there was a little line to get in. However we asked if there was seats at the bar and they told us yes, so we decided to sit over there.

We've never been for lunch, but for dinner during a major yankees game the wait time was only 5 minutes. It can't be anyworse for lunch.
