Should we go to Epcot? Help!

I'd definitely go! My dd8 and dd4 both liked epcot. Soarin was awesome and my 8 year old really liked test track. The Crush interactive show is alot of fun too! My dd4's favorite ride in all of WDW was Spaceship Earth...the one in the big ball. It is a very slow ride and I thought it was pretty cheesy, but dd4 consistently says it was her favorite ride. My least fav park was MGM....not a whole lot to do for my dd4 to do...there were a few shows but no rides she was interested in riding.

I tend to agree about MGM. My DH and I liked the rides but my kids weren't interested in most of them. The big attraction there was Buzz and the Monsters Inc. crew.

The funny thing is that my 4 year old would probably be fine, he tends to be daring, but my DD is a chicken when it comes to that stuff. Poor thing freaked out during The Bug's Life show last year.

As for Soarin, my DS is 42" I think so am I correct in thinking that he meets the height requirements?

Another Epcot vote. We love it. Really check out the show schedules. my kids loved playing the drums at the Africa station, acrobats, USA band, candy lady in Japan, etc. Many of the shows don't start until the p.m., so plan accordingly. They like both the Norway and mexico boat rides (Norway is a little scarier, but my wimpy 4yo did ok). And there are really good characters--Jasmine/Aladdin/Genie in Moracco, Belle/Beast in France, Snow White in Germany, sometimes Mulan in China, Mary Poppins in UK. The character bus is nice, too. And they loved making the masks. The masks and charcaters can fill in between some of the shows.
In FW, don't foget the musical fountain toward the entrance, My kids love it. And yes, they love the "giant golfball."
Illuminations is great, but late. It may be worth starting a bit later in the day at FW, do WS in p.m. when there are shows, then have a nice dinner to relax/rest, then get a spot for Illuminations. We give our kids new little toys to play with while we wait (little princess figure sets worked for both Illuminations and Fantasmic). We never did the back to the hotel break, but that works for many people, too.

what is the turtle show with crush? we missed this

Basically it's an interactive show with Crush from Finding Nemo. It's definitely a do-not-miss attraction, we think! It's amazing and the kids seem to love it (the adults too). Crush will ask & answer questions from the audience--I'm still wondering how they manage to do it.

Epcot's a must do for our family as well. We love just about every ride there but Mission:Space and Honey, I Shrunk The Audience. Plus all the side shows you can see (acrobatics in one area...drums in Japan, etc) are a blast to watch.

Should you eat, breathe, etc.?!? Epcot is not to be missed (imho).

When my boys were 4 and 7 they loved Epcot. Test Track was great. We also really enjoyed all the countries. We ate at Norway and the kids loved playing on the Viking Ship. We didn't even see everything at Epcot and were there for 1 1/2 days. I would rank Epcot right behind MK as the best parks.

I would go. I never, ever not go to Epcot. Even if I were to only be in Disney for 2 days, I would go to MK and Epcot. For one, half day at MK, half day at Epcot. I think they will enjoy Epcot because apart from the Magic Kingdom, MGM for instance has more thrill rides and Animal Kingdom is just plain hot, even though they do a good job of keeping it up and keeping it a little cool. With Epcot, there is a lot more exploring too so they should love the park at their ages.
