Should we change our flight for 5 1/2 hours of more WDW time?

DH and I have reservations for 4-14-4-18, staying at AKL savannah view. This is only our 2nd time going away without the kids in 23 years! We originally were going to stay 3 nights, but after checking flight schedules realized that was too hard to do. All the flights either left very early or late. So we then decided to go one extra night, stay at the POP, arriving at 9:11 PM. Then we started thinking about the transfer from one resort to the other and thought it may be too time consuming. AKL originally didn't have any king savanna views available, so we had booked a studio villa. I called back a week later and was able to change to a king savanna and booked all 4 nights by saving the extra $. But now that we are still paying a pretty penny for AKL we want to fly in earlier. DH is not wanting to pay the $150 total to change our flights to arrive at 3:47. I know he would if I really wanted, but am not sure what to do. Our plans are as follows with our current flight.

Wednesday, arrive 9:11 pm, plan on night vision goggles at AKL after we get to our room.

Thursday, get up at our leisure(which is always early), have breakfast at AKL, and hang out there for several hours and enjoy the resort. Go to DTD for lunch at wolfgang puck express, shop, take the boat to Riverside, walk around a bit, take a horse and carriage ride, then take the bus to TTC, take the monorail to the Poly for dinner, and watch wishes and water parade, then back to TTC to take bus to AKL.

Friday, get up early Epcot all day(with no kids we are beyond excited for World showcase), EMH evening.

Saturday, MK

Sunday get up at our leisure, stay at resort all day, with one last trip to DTD for either early lunch. Get picked up at 5 pm by ME.

So I think I have a pretty good plan, but am still stressing over if those 5 1/2 hours are worth the flight change.

Thanks for your input,::MinnieMo

Can you get an earlier flights? We always try and fly out before 7am that way we'll get in around 10am, and be in the parks or by the pool by 12:30pm, Every hour counts on our vacation! :goodvibes

The problem with changing you arriving flight is that you are at the mercy of the airlines. You could pay the $150 change fee and then the flight could be delayed. If were for your departing flight I would say go for it but not sure it is worth the gamble on the arrival side.:confused3

Have a great trip, whatever you decide!!:cool1:
