We are heading to POFQ as a party of 7 .6 Adults and one child. The group breaks down to Myself and my wife , Our son and his wife and our daughter, husband and our 6 year old grandson.
my question is on the DDP . Should we book as three separate parties or one group . We might not eat at the same time or even go to the same parks on some days . Are there any benefits to book either way ?

Thanks

If each party is booking their own room (3) then each one would have their own dining plan. If you are booking all the rooms then I think they will all be seperate ressis and be seperate dining plans anyway. But it really doesn't matter as you just get a total # of credits per day for the whole group, they are not individual specific.
Maybe I misunderstood the Q?

If you are eating at the same place and same time book for your party size. My sister will be vacationing at the same time I will be, however we only have two reservations that are all together.

Regarding restaurant reservations, if you all want to eat together, book one reservation for your entire party.

If you book them separately, there is a chance you will not be seated together.

As for the resort reservations, you really don't have a choice as you need multiple rooms for a party that size. Your dining credits will be assigned by room and can't be pooled across room reservations.

Some years ago we traveled as a party of 14. We made almost all our dining reservations together. Most of our meals, we were seated at separate tables that were near each other. Very few meals we were all at one massive table. So even if you do book all together, realize you might not be at one table.

If your question is regarding booking the actual package with hotel, dining and tickets then that will depend on if everyone wants the same package. If everyone wants the same package then it will not matter if you book together. If any part of the group does not want to be on the dining plan or doesn't want the same number of park tickets then they should book on a seperate reservation. Everyone that shares a reservation must be on the same plan.

As for actual dining reservations, those are seperate and you can make them however you wish irregardless of the disney resort package registrations.
