My husband and are taking our next vacation to WDW in February 2024. It’ll be more of a resort stay at BWI. I have been to all four parks. My husband has never been to HS. Should we do do a park hopper and do Epcot and HS? Just Epcot? What would you recommend? We are doing three nights and four days.

Thank you as always!

I think your husband should get to HS! Especially if he likes Star Wars or Toy Story at all. I’m super grumpy about park hoppers since they instituted the 2pm rule but we do always get them and hop around. We did 3 parks in a day twice in our last trip and it was not a big effort, just fun :)

Thank you! He does like Star Wars. Which park would you to go to first?

I wouldn't stay Disney if I wanted a resort trip, you can do much better for how much BWI costs.

But since THEY are staying Disney and want to got to either DHS, EPCOT or both, what would you recommend?
I would do one or the other. Go to parks and do a standard Disney park vacation, or do a resort only vacation elsewhere. I would not spend BW rates for middle ground of maybe going to parks, or not going to parks at all.

When in February are you going? I might do HS first to try and knock out Rise of the Resistance early before it gets crowded. At 1:30pm you can take the Skyliner over to Epcot, we love the Skyliner! And Epcot is perfect for the evening, walking around the world showcase at sunset is one of my favorite things. BUT!!! If you are going during a crowded time (President’s Weekend?) I would do Epcot first so that you can do the 7am and 1pm virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Unless you’re willing to pay for LL for that one? Guardians of the Galaxy is our favorite ride, I would do what it takes to get on it!

I would definitely buy Genie+ for both parks. Then you can wake up at 7 AM. make your first Lightning Lane and then go back to sleep. If you husband is a Star Wars fan, I would go to Hollywood Studios first and watch his jaw drop when he sees Galaxy's Edge.

We are going to at least one park. I will probably go with the park hopper and do both parks in one day.

If you can afford it, to get the most out of the park hopping day then purchase an individual Lighting Lane for Rise of the Resiatance and Guardians of the Galaxy. Then use Early Morning Hours to do Smuggler's Run and maybe Slinky Dog Dash. Then you can use Genie+ to pick the attractions in each patk. The first thing is to decide what you want to do.

Thank you. So Genie has to be purchased for both parks?
If you are planning to just do one day, and visit both parks, no, you don't have to purchase Genie+ for both parks. You purchase it once, per person, per day and can use it at any/all of the parks for the day if you have a park hopper.

Personally, I would plan to do Epcot in the morning, stacking LLs for HS in the afternoon/evening, also purchasing an ILL for Rise for late in the afternoon. You can do just about everything in Epcot with reasonable waits without really needing to use LLs in the morning if you get there when the park opens (early entry for on site guests). This allows you to make your Genie+ selections for later in the day at HS, so that when you arrive there, you should have 3 or 4 LLs stacked up ready to go. This also allows you to be in HS after dark, where both Toy Story Land and Galaxy's Edge look very cool with their night time lighting.
