With so many new and expensive items released, the expensive re-released costumes and furniture and Halloween lurking right around the corner.... I'm finding it impossible to keep up credit-wise! It seems the only way to afford all this stuff is if I spend every free minute I have playing games for credits! And even then, it isn't enough! I think it's awesome to have so many cool items available, but honestly, how do they expect us to afford them all?

Definitely! Like you I'm having lots of trouble keeping up with my credits.

it is already super super easy to get credits, making it even easier would be pointless

Yes, yes, and let me think...um, yes.

Having my fireworks credits cut nearly in half was the straw that broke the camel's back. Double credit days are nice, but spread the love - how about double fireworks credits as well.

Better yet...make double credits permanent for all games!!!

I was totally bummed out to see my fireworks cut in half. Even the best player can not even get a grand. I miss the 1300 days.

Ever since, I barely have enough to make for the week. Let alone extras. And with this dream event!! No time for games. Need to sit in a room and wait. I highly doubt a host is going to interupt my 10 minute firework game and offer a prize. :happytv:

Super super easy? Even if you're good at pirates or fireworks, how long does it take to save up ten grand? How long does it take to buy a kiosk? Even if you're making 500 to 600 per fireworks game, each game takes ten minutes to play. So at best, per hour, you're talking about less than 4k. Or do you have some secret to earning credits you can share with us? Please, what's your strategy? :confused3

I have not played any of the games in over 3 months.

I make about 30k a week just by putting in codes, POTC, Nemo, Narnia does not matter, I spend about 2 hours in VMK off hours getting codes and then put them in in about 2 hours when VMK is open. My best day is 15k credits in codes. And that was mostly POTC.

For the record, I have ALWAYS stunk at fireworks, so when players "wax for the 1300 days" they are really saying, let the rich get richer again. Only a select percentage of players could ever hope to achieve 1300 credits per game. the rest of us who stunk would get either nothing, or only a couple hundred per game. Many may not remember when Pirates only gave out 75 credits for level 3 and before mansion. The only way to get credits was to Ned.

Top players in Mansion, even on double credit days, can barely hope to match the 600 per game the top fireworks players get. Double credit in mansion does nothing more than even it out. Fireworks should NEVER get double credits because then the fireworks players would be leaps and bounds above every other game.

That sounds incredibly tedious! 4 hours a day of code collecting and entering? I guess that's one way to earn credits, but it isn't really a viable option for the majority of VMK players (especially the younger kids). My eyes tear up withe boredom just thinking about it! :surfweb:
15k in one day from entering codes? I thought that you only get ten credits for selling off code items... that's 1500 codes entered! Seriously?

10 credits for narnia and others, 5 credits for POTC - far less tedious than fireworks, I cant play more than a game or two before I bug out.

for 15K that is 3000 codes. Sounds like a long time to me. That would give no time to socialize. :)

We recently got a new computer. Before that, using only our old one, we could not play a song, mix a song, move on the monorail (lol), play mansion or pirates without lagging and crashing constantly. Even playing fireworks on the old computer, it lags so much it's barely worth the time. With our new computer, we can play all of those games and I've already played a song enough times to earn the big credits for it. (although still crash on the monorail sometimes) VMK is like a whole new game now that we can actually play all of those things! So, other options for earning credits would be a good idea for those who have those same issues on older computers.

My opinion, just don't buy everything. Keep some credits in your account just in case something comes along that you really want. If you like to collect then collect something specific like shoes, or a certain type of pins. Or, be a builder, plan a room and buy just the stuff you need to set it up nice. Playing VMK to get the all virtual stuff is kind of like a hamster wheel. It's a lot of work and it really gets you nowhere.

Believe me, I know. I have rooms and rooms full of VMK stuff. The only real enjoyment in having it is that I frequently get to give it away. The time I spent playing fireworks to get it all would have been much better spent hanging with friends on VMK and off.

I probably spent a total of 3 hours entering codes that day.

Total, I have entered over 400,000 POTC codes and no Sparrow.

As much as I'd enjoy double credit fireworks, I have to say no way to making double credits permanent. Can you see what will happen? In about 2-3 months, when people get used to the double credits, they'll start saying "why can't our credits be doubled?" again anyway. Even doubling credits won't please people for the long term. I like the temporary double credits because people are actually grateful for it when they have it.

Personally I agree with mtlhddoc2, I find it super easy to earn and keep credits. I set aside a budget for the usual weekly items, but otherwise I rarely spend unless it's a special occasion. I think it's a good lesson to learn, learning how to budget credits, makes you realize the importance of currency. Now I know this is only a game, but I still think that players should have to work consistantly to earn their credits. All I can say is cut back on spending and keep playings games to save up.

Yep, I would have to agree. And a waste of my time. Life is too precious to sit in front of a computer and waste it away writing down codes for virtual items....especially since most of them are only worth 5 or 10 credits.

Yeah, I think you are on to something. But, I do wish Yavn would get off his keister ;) and do something about the pathetic credits vs scoring in Jungle Cruise. That game is a waste of time. You spend 15 minutes playing it for 20 little credits....no thank you!!! Now credit me on my skills, how much gas I have left, how many pictures I took, how many "flawless" pictures I took, etc and I will play the game like anything else.
