I remember reading here that there was some news coming about ticketing benefits to DVC members? We're due to go down in December and need to get new AP's since our old ones expired a few months ago. Should I wait a while before ordering new AP vouchers? Do you think there will be any announcement soon about this? TIA

There's no advantage to buying Aps/PAPs in advance so my advice is to wait until you get there. Unless you qulaify for Florida resident or military passes, there are no longer any discounts for APs/PAPs.

To me, the only advantages to buying APs in advance are:

* To beat a price increase. Since Disney increased AP prices less than a year ago, I doubt there is much of a chance of the price going up before you get there.

* To spread out the cost - especially if you need to buy more than one. There are other ways to budget than buying tickets/vouchers one or two at a time in advance.

FWIW, I don't think the rumored discounts for DVC members will be announced prior to the end of this year. We can hope, though, LOL. We're also going in December.

Good luck to all of us hoping for a nice discount on annual passes!

Hi - I've been thinking the same thing. Murphy's law says that as soon as we purchase these they will come out with a discount!

In that case, would you please purchase yours tomorrow?

Just kidding! :teeth:

Don't worry, 10 minutes after we buy them, the announcement will come! ;)

Ours expire May 23, 2005. I've already had 4 trips using them and one coming up. We're still debating if we'll be as active next year to warrant reactiving them after next year. If we were offered a discount, I think I'd go for it.
