Should I wait to buy tickets?

We're going to DL in September, staying for 5 days and staying at the HOJO. So I was planning to buy 5 day tickets with the buy 3 days get 2 days free deal (HOJO's not offering it, it seems, so we'd just be buying the tickets--not a package). Is there any chance some new, super-duper offer is going to come out for the fall that would be a better deal so that I should hold off on buying the tickets? Does that make sense? Like at WDW the best promotions (i.e. free dining) are in September, so I don't want to hop on this summer promotion and miss out if they offer something even better for the off-season.

Conversely, is there any benefit to buying the tickets now instead of waiting until later in the summer?

bump...any thoughts? Have there been great fall promotions in years past?

It wouldn't hurt to wait, however, I wouldn't expect DLR to come out with anything better than the 2 days free deal. This is the first time that I ever remember them offering a summer promotion. It won't hurt to wait and see though.

I find it easier for me to buy 1 ticket at a time, the last time I purchased DL PH's I started 3 months prior to our trip. I needed to buy 3 tickets so I purchased one 3 months out, the 2nd the next month and the 3rd right before we left. You don't have to buy all your tickets at the same time.

Well I gave a tip to other Disboarders on here and they are finding it successful. First off I would hold off a bit to see if there is some other promo that is going to come out. You do have a little while yet, so there really isnt a rush. But I suggested going to the website FlightCenter.ca (CANADA)

Here you can purchase up to 8 day hoppers (anything over 3 days comes with a magic morning), they supply all the same promo deals, and with the conversion of USA dollars into CDN funds you are saving yourself some money! Disney sends you a confirmation email and emails vouchers to print out. So when you arrive at Disneyland, take those printed vouchers to the ticket booth, show your ID and they hand you your passes. Most travel agents outside Disney do this now days... :thumbsup2 Good Luck!

You can hold out awhile, but for the 2 days free offer you have to purchase tickets by August 11th.

From DLR website:

"5-for-3" offer provides each guest with a 5-Day Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket at the regular price of a 3-Day Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket. These tickets entitle Guests to admittance to both Disneyland® Resort theme parks over 5 days, including visits to both theme parks on the same day.

• Tickets may only be purchased between March 24, 2009 and August 11, 2009 and are valid for theme park admission from April 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009.

• The "5-for-3" offer expires 13 days after first use or on October 13, 2009, whichever occurs first.

• Each day of use of a Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket constitutes one full day of use.

• Park Hopper® Bonus tickets include one Magic Morning admission for early entry into a designated theme park. A Magic Morning early entry admission allows access to a designated Disneyland® Resort theme park before the park opens to the general public. While not available daily, the feature will be available multiple times per week.

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I'm definitely not counting on another offer...but I was just kind of hoping that the fact that they came out with this offer for summer means even better things for fall. I'll hold off on tickets for now, anyway, and see what happens...I just have to put the money away somewhere and make sure I don't spend it on something else!
