Should I trust travel agency (Magical Vacations) if non refundable

the 200 deposit is a total loss. also if its past the 60 day mark the whole thing is a total loss if its with the group discount. if its more than 60 days before your check-in you get a refund of any money put down minus the 200.

Would it matter if you buy the Disney insurance for the past the 60 day mark?

Looking at MV website, they recommend AIG travel insurance. You'll have to look at what insurance you want. Looking at this level for my state

if I wanted "cancel for any reason" for the typical vacation cost for DH and I - it would cost more than the $200 deposit, although the total of the vacation would be insured. So instead of guaranteeing you won't lose your deposit, you probably want to look at how likely you are to lose the total cost of your vacation, and why. Look at what situations you want to insure against, you might not need the platinum plan but it seems to cover the most.

It's an individual thing, you're going to have to look at the level of coverage you want, trip cost, and your age. Basically though if you cancel you'll be out either the $200 deposit or the cost of insurance. Just figure on losing about $200 if you cancel and decide whether you want to insure your vaca total.

The main page for AIG Travel Guard insurance is here:

You can buy travel insurance from several companies, you'd have compare the costs for your needs.

We just used MV this past July and spent 13 nights at the Polynesian! Saved over $1,500 than if we had gone with AAA. WELL worth it! MV is great and very reliable. Lisa is wonderful to work with. She even set up a private dessert party with a VIP viewing of Illuminations. It was fabulous! Can't wait to book with her again.:thumbsup2
