Should I take AK bus from CSR to get to Boma's???

We have a 5:20pm for Boma's at AKL on an extra magic hour night. From CSR should I take the AK bus and then hop on an AKL bus from there?? The buses will be running until 8-9pm that night which is why we booked that night. We have 9 people and 3 preschoolers so the buses (as slow as they may be) are much better then the cost of 3-4 taxis.

Any other suggestions would be great. Maybe DTD bus or Blizzard Beach bus for transfers?

yes that is the best way to get there using Disney Transport. The AKL bus runs like every 6-10 minutes between AKL and AK. Enjoy your dinner

Whatever you do, don't use DTD as a transfer point! I once took the DTD bus from AKL and I don't think I have EVER been on a bus for that long! Then going to MK from there was a total nightmare and took us over an hour; I started thinking that we had died and gone to the bad place without knowing it.

I would think the CSR to AK to AKL connection would work well (though I haven't stayed at CSR). UG shows 8 to 31 minutes from CSR to AK and then 6 to 23 minutes to AKL. For CSR to Blizzard Beach to AKL, it shows 17 to 37 minutes and 15 to 40 minutes, meaning it could possibly take 77 minutes. Have a great time--I love Boma (and so did my preschoolers!)

I took a van taxi from Beach Club to AKL once. I think the bellhops could call you two of those, if you call down from your room in advance. They should be able to handle six people each.

I just would never want to spend that much time transferring around on Disney busses, though I guess your plan will work. But what a pia with all the kids. I vote for whistling "Taxi!"

I would take the first epcot, mgm or AK bus that comes and then take the direct bus to AKL.

Suzanne, that's exactly what we did on our last trip. It was for breakfast though. We took the bus to AK. As we were getting off the bus we mentioned to the bus driver what we were doing. He stopped getting me off the bus (I'm in a wheelchair) and said "Hmm, wait right here."

He left and came back a minute later. He said since no one was waiting for the bus (it was like 9 a.m. or so) a supervisor had given him permission to go drop us off at the AKL.

think about this. why not just be at a park, and take a bus from the park you are at to akl. then you dont have to do multiple transfers on the way to boma.

because we have 3 preschoolers in tow who will need naps - we always leave the parks @1pm for the kids to rest. I am hoping we may make it to AKL for the parade if the kids fall asleep quick and wake up @3pm and then head over to Boma but I am pretty sure that we will have to go straight to AKL.

As far as shuttles or taxis, we are trying not to use them at all which is why I want to go to Boma's during AK's EMH so we have the bus transportation.

I will not do DTD bus - I have heard horrors about that. I guess I will take the first bus other then MK that comes along. Never thought about that.
