Should I take a chance, with no PS?

We want to eat lunch at Sci-Fi on 2/7/03, but are not sure what time we'll be getting there (from AK). Will we likely be able to get seating if we don't make a PS? What time does lunch end? I hate to be rushing to get somewhere on a schedule!

Since 2/7 is not a peak time of yer, I think you will be ok without a PS, especiallyif you think of dining early or late. We never make lunch PS's, ususally eat early (after a quick, light breakfast and arriving at the parks early) and have had little or no waits at most places. Eating early also gives us an appetite for a nice dinner at one of the resorts after the parks close!

Anytime we have eaten at Sci/Fi or 50's Prime Time or Liberty Tree Tavern we have never had PS. We may have a 30-40 minute wait, but that can be killed off easily. We are planning a dinner at Chef Mickey's when we go in March, and again we will wing it. I may try calling that day and try to arrange something, but that is about the extent of our sit-down meal planning.

We're just back from WDW and ate dinner at Sci-Fi w/o a PS and with no wait. We didn't need PS's at all for this trip, the only exception being the first night we were there--January 2nd--when MK was still quite crowded. Instead of sit-down, we ate that night at Cosmic Ray's, which was just fine. We ate at several other PS-style restaurants all over the world for both lunch and dinner and didn't need a PS for any of them (altho we had a couple, which were completely unnecessary).

The Sci-Fi is adorable, btw. Our waitperson (Marsha) was wonderful.
