Should I switch

I got the disney visa code and called to see if it could help me. Heres the deal I am staying at AKL pool view for the last 2 night of vacation(savannah view the first 1/2). Would you switch to PO riverside or CB standard view to save $200?

I would.

You've experienced the best that AKL has to offer. Why not move to another resort and get a feel for staying somewhere else? Both choices are good, but I prefer POR over CBR, unless you are going after CBR has it's construction complete.

Stepping down to a moderate is a let down, stay with AKL, for a few hundred not packing up, moving, checking out and in and being under one roof at the AKL is great. We visit the mods but prefer to hang at WL, no split stays, stash our stuff, set up the room and a carefree vacation for 10-12 night, sheer heaven.

First, I do not think stepping down to a moderate is a letdown--I prefer the moderates over the deluxes (deluxes are way overpriced). However, we do not like the idea of split stays and packing up and moving--so stick with AKL.

I usually love to move from hotel to hotel but when I called WDW to see if they would help with the baggage they said no so call ahead if you are planning on them helping you out! Whip

I would not move for $200, not worth it to me. If you wanted to get your costs down a bit could you stay Poolview the whole time at AKL??? For just $200 I being at a deluxe. now if it were $500-$1000 then I would maybe move, unless money was no object.

Don't do it!
We stayed at AKL in '03 and '04. In '06 we went back to POFQ (use to love) but it wasn't the same. I was trying to save money as we had just been on a DCL western Caribbean the week before. For my family, it's hard to go back to moderates. My wife made the new rule this past December that we wouldn't go unless we could stay at AKL.

Well after reading all these post I am going to ignore my DH and stay at AKL. Its going to be the last 2 nights we are there and I want to relax and enjoy vacation. Why don't any of these codes work at AKL? Everytime a code comes out its the same story.... "this code is not avail at AKL" blah blah. Ohh well AKL here we come!!!! Just 24 days to go!!!!

I would switch to POR because I LOVE it!!! It is sooo relaxing and so much to do!! DH would be so happy to stay there again!!!

I dont know if I worded it right. But I would be switching for the last 2 nights only. It would save $200 but I wasnt sure because I never went to disney let alone done a split stay.
