Should I switch from Standard to Courtyard?

I booked ressies the day before the FTP. I decided to see if I could do the pkg. and upgrade rooms from standard to woods view. Wood views are booked, but they have courtyard. We thought when I first booked we would do standard to avoid pool noise, but after reading posts about truck, etc., noise I'm wondering if it would be better. Oh, she said the pkg doesn't cover standard view rooms.

What do ya'll think?

Keep the courtyard!! We stayed at the WL, courtyard view and it was incredible!

We could watch the Electric water parade every night and see the geyser go off every hour, during the day. We had a beautiful view of the waterfalls and lake and at night we'd leave our door cracked and fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall, talk about relaxing!

We never had any problems with unwanted noise our whole stay from the inside or outside.

Our room was a little over half way down one of the hallways and I thought it was the perfect spot because we could see everything.

Have a great trip!! I'm jealous, I love the WL.

We stayed at WL last Christmas and had a courtyard view. We loved it and if it were me, I'd take the courtyard view every time!

If you do choose courtyard, be sure and tell them you'd like an inner courtyard view with a view of the main pool area. The rooms facing the quiet pool on the villa side are also considered courtyard.

Usually, when we stay at WL, we book standard rooms. But on our trip last Aug., we were fortunate enough to get upgraded for free to courtyard view. I must say it was a magnificent view! If I were to go back, would I book courtyard? Maybe! It all depends on the price difference. I don't mind spending money if it is justified. Are you going to get, say $75/a night worth of view? Personally, we spend little time in the hotel, so it probably wouldn't be worth it for us!
