Should I light these candles or leave them alone?

I'm changing up some decorations and found these beautiful candles. They don't show up well in the pic but they really sparkle.

Should I like decorative candles or not?

I would not light them; they are too beautiful to be used. Just put them in an area that doesn't permit too much sunlight on them.

I only light scented candles. Most of my decorative candles are not scented so they don't get lit.

I would light them and let the center melt ever so slightly - just enough that they don't look like "just" an accessory. Not enough for the wax to drip over the pretty sides.

An interior designer told me this once - and I do thing it softens the look of the candle and makes them seem more authentic.

I would light them.

If it weren't so late at night (for me), and I hadn't had such a crazy day, I could say it much more eloquently - but my grandmother saved everything "for good" and then never got to use it before she passed away.

Since then I've always favored "using the good dishes" - not to mark a special day, but to make one.

Enjoy the light of your beautiful candles.

I've always heard this and do it as well.:thumbsup2

Oh! And I love this, too! You are special enough to enjoy the good things in life. Light 'em and let 'em burn bright!:thumbsup2

I believe candles are to be used. I would light them. You never know, they might burn down and not drip all over and create even more beauty from the light within.
