Hello,

My mother and I will be spending the week at Disneyworld. We have a dinner reservation on Thursday at Cinderella's Royal Table, a dinner reservation on Wednesday at Be Our Guest, and we will be staying at the Polynesian.

I would love to either:

A. Have a Disney gift delivered to our table at Cinderella. Perhaps the "Snow White Bouquet" and adult tiara, or the "Crown her a princess" gift:

B. Have the gift waiting in her room when she arrives at the Polynesian.

Which should I do?

The dinner delivery sounds more fun and "special". However, it wouldn't be fun if the staff is not used to delivering such a gift at Cinderella's Table. For example, a waiter may put it on the table and say, "This is for you.. I guess...". The only other downside I can think of is that nearby little girls may feel bad that *they* aren't getting cool gifts.

You can not have a gift delivered and waiting in your room when you check in. You can have something delivered to your room later, but not waiting for you.
As it is possible that the waiter delivering an item could be a dud, but I don't think that is likely.
I would go with a gift at CRT

I've had cakes delivered a few times at restaurants (BOG and Crystal Palace) and once to our hotel room (at AKL). in all cases the deliverer was lovely. The bigger factor to me is whether it's worth it to carry the flowers/gift around in the park afterwards. since you're staying on the monorail loop it won't be a big deal to drop things off if it's too much to carry, but it is something to consider.

What are your plans? Keep in mind that if a gift is delivered at CRT or BOG, you're going to be carrying them around afterwards. If Mom wants a ride on Space Mountain, this might be an issue. If she wants to do Country Bear Jamboree, less of an issue.

I just wanted to thank everyone for your replies!

Here is what I did:

1. I ordered the Snow White themed flower bouquet, and set it to be delivered before our check in time at the Poly. About ten minutes after getting into out rooms, there was a knock at my door, and I was handed the flowers. :)

2. I ordered the "Crown Her a Princess" item to be delivered at Cinderella's Table. (This is an adult-sized tiara, placed on a little fancy pillow.) It was already on the table when we were seated. (Which is good.) Our waitress and the princess cast members were GREAT!. The waitress politely encouraged my mom to actually wear the tiara, so she did. Then, when each princess came to the table, they referred to my mom as a "fellow princess". It was awesome. :)

This is not entirely true. It depends on when you check in, I think, because we have gifts delivered to the room every time we go and they have always been in the room when we arrived.

I believe they will leave gifts in the room if you are booked in club level. Otherwise it will depend on the check-in.

So glad it worked out. How surprised was your Mom?

She was very surprised, and I think she was especially touched by the flowers. Also, the flowers came with a really neat pin. The pin is a little mirror, with the words, "Fairest of them all", written below it. Several cast members throughout Disney and Universal complimented her on it. :)

1) To have something delivered by Disney Florist for dinner, there is a ADDED fee (typically $25 above normal delivery fee).
2) For the room, they deliver it to the Front Desk and a "FRONT DESK RUNNER" delivers it.
. . . it can't be in the room upon arrival because the room or resort might change
. . . yes, you could be in a different room type or even a different resort
. . . people with suites might get budget room, people with budget rooms might get suites
. . . people at GF might end up at SSR, people at AoA might end up at GF
. . . if booking CL, the gift can be placed by the Concierge quickly, so ready when she walks in
. . . so, the gift is delivered after check-in, when the RUNNER can fit it into their schedule
. . . the RUNNER usually makes two scheduled rounds per shift, then squeezes other trips as time allows

We order flowers and gifts from Disney Floral for our kids every time we go - personalized ear hats, snacks, toys, etc. All but once the gifts were IN THE ROOM when we got in there. Not all of those stays were club level, but they were all deluxe resorts.

I don't question what the "policy" may be, but I am telling you what the reality has been when we have gone. Many times, the gifts are already in the room.

...and I have a hard time believing they can put me in a standard room at Pop Century when I prepaid for a club level suite in the GF. But I am not gonna touch that, because it really has nothing to do with what was being asked in this thread.
