Should I go on the Waitlist?

I have never done this before, but I want to go in May 2015 for my BD. The only way to get a Value Studio is to go on the waitlist, Are my chances good???? TIA

I have had great wait list success but I also watch availability like a hawk. A lot depends in time of year, resort and how long before your stay. I have always gotten something that far out.

Your chances are zero if you don't try. I'd plan AKV standard and WL for value unless the only way you'll go is value then I'd WL a couple of days as a block with multiple WL.

MS just told me it's a hard time of year to get it , even if it is my home resort(AKV) May 10 to15.
Because of my uses year(June) if I put it in the waitlist and it comes up past Jan 30,2015 and I don't cancel the waitlist and bank my points , I will lose those points.

I don't know that mid May is a comparatively difficult time but certainly being at the end of your UY makes it more risky. You could put in the WL then if you get to the banking window, go ahead and bank then borrow from next years points. In that case you might want to consider the WL as a single block. That assumes it's value or nothing which seems to be the way you're going with this. Even if you don't have enough points to do standard over values, there are other ways to get the reservations therefore I would not let the lack of value availability stand in my way, esp for a studio.
