We are leaving on Monday, November 6th for Florida and spending the first 2 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel. Then, from November 8th - November 16th we are staying at the VWL. We have a dedicated 2 bedroom for the 9th - 16th, but a 1 bedroom at the VWL for the November 8th night (better than changing resorts, right?). I have been on the waitlist for that night for about 5 months (and some other nights that have come through). So, at the 30 day window, I put in an automatic acceptance. But, am I still dreaming it may come through? Isn't there something else that happens within 7 days? Do I call everyday to check? :confused3
Please advise!

calling never hurts, I have been on the waiting list in the past and called, sometimes they were able to find what I needed other times they were unable to fill my needs. I would call.

The waitlist only goes up to 7 days prior to the date neeeded. At that point you have to call daily. I got my waitlist room at BWV 10 days out so don't give up!

I'm in a similar boat. Have a studio at BWV from 11/6-11/9, waitlisted for a one-bedroom at BWV. They've had 11/6 & 11/7 available, but not the night of 11/8. I don't want to have to change rooms again as when we leave Disney it's to DCL, them back to Disney. Another room change isn't worth it. On an aside, I also have 29 points in holding I need to use on this trip, so I may be making a ressie for a deluxe instead of OKW when we return from the cruise. But I'm going to hold out in the hopes someone will cancel.

At 7 days, there's no more waitlist, so you need to call every day.

Last Falll, I waitlisted at BWV for a 2BR during the F&W Festival time. It came through the day before my departure, and yes, I do suggest you call daily once you get into the time period where they no longer automatically book you or whatever.

Hi, One time I was waitlisted at BCV for 1 nite in a 2 BDR and we were staying at the GF the week before and that is where I GOT my call that my Wailist had come thru!! So just HANG in there! Joan

You might try calling every day or so even now, just to check. Normally, it wouldn't occur to me, but I happened to call the other day to see about my waitlist--I was waiting for Thanksgiving Nov. 23, and hadn't gotten anything in 6 months, so I was planning to make reservations at the Dolphin. Well, she checked, and she said,"I have a match for you for that night!" It sounded like she had checked availability, and found the night, because she said, "you are sure lucky you called today. Rooms are very hard to come by for that night." Since I was on an automatic confirm for the night, it wouldn't have made since for her to say what she said. :confused3

I think that is interesting, because I was on the automatic confirm for the BCV for December. I called member services just to add my two friends to our reservation and the CM said I see your waitlist has come thru. I had just checked it right before I called. I was thrilled, and very glad I called. :cool1:
