Should I get the Dining Plan???

the value is no where close for next year as it is this year. The drawback for you is, you are going to have to make adjustments to your day to be at ts reservations. It is still an o.k. deal, but I don't like the new plan. We won't be using it and I was looking forward to it, but the changes are too exteme so we will dine elsewhere some nights as we have access to a car. The DDE is a good option if you only plan on a few ts meals, though.

Why is DDE a good option if you only plan on a few TS meals?

OOP is not a plan. It stands for "out of pocket" and means paying cash for your meal.

That depends on the meaning of the original post. If the only meals you are planning are TS meals, DDE can be a good option because it is accepted at most (but not all) TS restaurants on WDW property. It isn't accepted at most counter service places, so if you plan to eat counter service most often, it may not be as good an option.

If you don't want to go to a ts everyday of your trip, the DDE is right because it can be limitrd to as many ts as you want to use. if you use the ddp, then you have much more ts to plan for almost everyday.

Anybody have the cost of the two plans? I can find the basic but not the deluxe.

The deluxe is $69.99 for adults and $19.99 for 3-9 years old(per night). It includes a refillable mug per person and 3 TS meals and 2 snacks per day.
Breakfast includes juice and entree or .....lunch and dinner includes appy, entree and dessert. I'm sure someone can provide a link to the brochure...but this is what I remember.

DH and I will be using the DDP for a 3 night stay in Feb. The only reason we are is because a) it's a quick trip, b) the kids won't be with us, and c) we wanted to use it for some of the higher priced TS restaurants. If it were our normal vacation to WDW which is usually 8-12 nights and includes the whole family...we wouldn't be forking out that much money for food.

In the past we've actually been able to take advantage of free DDP twice now by booking thru CRO and it saved a great deal of money (only because we stayed at a value) but we always found that we spent too much time waiting around at TS restaurants and by the end of the week everything starts looking and tasting the same!

I didn't know there was a new DDP, :confused3 can someone tell me what the changes are or direct me to a website or other thread that lists the changes. Thanks
