I have 2 sides to this and they both say let it grow!! My DD has done locks of love twice so thats my first reason to let it grow, and my DS who is 20 is going bald ( we hope its stress related because nobody in our family as far back as we can remember is bald) so enjoy it while you have it!!

Short! I don't like men with long hair. Of course, I'm surrounded by military men, so I might be tainted by that.

I can't decide until I know more about you, like how old are you? Are you still in school? Do you work a job - what type of work?
I was wondering the same things. But I would say, get it cut, just not too short. Go to a decent stylist and get a great style. You are a nice looking guy and a good stylist will be able to bring out your features and give you a style suited to your face.

I prefer short hair on guys. And if you ever start balding on top, keep the rest of your hair SHORT!!!::yes::

Short! Did you ever see the guys with long hair that get the Queer Eye makeover? They look sooooo much better with short hair!

It looks good on you. Keep it clean and keep it longish.

Are you trying to get a conservative job? In that case I guess you may need to go short.

If not, it looks good long. It's up to you, of course! :sunny:

I'm right there with you, EsmeraldaX!

Cut it short-short, or let it grow long (below shoulder) and just get a trim, but don't do the in between thing. No medium length. :crazy2:

And just say NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to mullets! :faint: No half short, half long. Ick. Ack. Uck. Stink. Stank. Stunk. :crazy2:

I prefer it short but if you work or want to work in corporate America, short is the correct response.

Since your signature says you are going to Disney in a week for graduation, I am going to guess you are graduating college? and are around 21/22?

So it would depend: If I am wrong, and you are graduating high school and heading to college, wear it long if you like it that way. Because soon:

You will be (or are) out of college and going out looking for a job, depending on what you are looking for, short's probably your best bet.

Regardless, do what you want. It's your hair and your life. You're the one who has to like it.

Jipsy is right but since you asked, my opinion is cut it.

I voted short. It's summer, you're starting a new phase in your life by graduating from High school and I just like short hair (my military background). By the way, just curious did your mom and dad get a vote and what do they say ;)

Cut it short and you'll become a chick magnet. :D

I like the Locks of Love idea. They don't take processed hair, and yours looks all natural, so that's a great suggestion! Don't cut it short just because people you don't know told you to; only follow your heart :)

The reason I would hesitate to get a haircut, and this goes for anyone, not just longhaired guys, is the difficulty in finding a stylist who is really good and yet doesn't charge an arm and a leg.

The $100-plus razor-cutting specialists like you see on the makeover shows can make any length of cut look fabulous on anyone, but the average haircutter at an average price will more often than not ruin a person's hairstyle and looks. Sorry to any haircutters out there, but this is over 40 years of experience talking!

I have to cut DH's hair myself now to get the result he wants, because 90% of his "professional" cuts at whatever price range did not work out, and I think that applies for my cuts as well (still stunned to think of how much I paid for a lousy cut on the Disney Cruise!). Too bad I can't cut the back of my own hair!

Please spare me...

Well, I just got my hair done this last week and my stylist said all the boys are wanting long hair and are letting it grow out. So maybe it is a new trend?

But I would cut it short. Go for he messy look. Maybe some highlights?

You haven't really said if you mind taking care of your long hair, or if it gets in your eyes, bothers you. If all of that is OK with you, I think you should go with the suggestion of trimming it until you have 10 inches and make the donation. This will give you more time to think about what you really want to do, and at the same time you make a donation to an organization for cancer stricken children. Your hair looks like it is really healthy and thick, probably a great donation for locksoflove. And I agree, don't go with short just because of what other people say.. Hairstylists like short because you have to maintain it more often than long, and most people just don't get long hair. I have always liked long hair on guys..My DH's hair is almost down to his belt...(although him-50 years old- I think maybe a short haircut might make him look younger..) Brad Pitt is positively yummy with long hair..

Good Luck!!

Cut it, but not too short. I can't explain, but I'm PMing you a pic. I'd post it, but it's of my brother and I doubt he wants everyone seeing him lol
