Should I change resorts?

I have two rooms confirmed at ASMo right now, 2 adults and
3 kids; 10, 5 and 2. Was looking into changing to CBR if I
can get a promo code discount. Is this worth it or should we
just leave alone? Are the rooms much bigger at CBR ? Is
CBR real spread out ? We'll be there June 6-13.

All the advice I can get is appreciated !!

Last year about this time we had 2 rooms at AllStarMu booked for $107 per night. On this forum I found a code available to anyone for PO/FQ for $99. We switched, it was easy. Later, we switched again to get Riverside. We're glad we did it and even now I'm hunting here for codes even though we have ressies for Dolphin in Nov. for $129. There's always a chance to do better, and you have to be quick and agressive.

if you can get port orleans - riverside (aka dixie landings) at the same rate as the all star, i'd say go for it...
i think dixie landings is so pretty...
plus you can rent bikes and boats there (not mice, but other boats)...
it's just more of a resort than the all stars (though not as much as the deluxe resorts)...
i'm not familiar with the caribbean beach, but i know people like it...
i'm sure it's nicer than the all star....so if you can get the same rate as the all star by using a code, i'd definitely go for it....

The rooms at CBR are the largest moderate rooms on WDW property. They are the same size as WL & AKL rooms(both deluxe resots). Since you have 5 in your group you can get a rollaway bed at CBR for the 5th person. If you can get a discounted rate at CBR I would definitley switch. If you request a room in the Martinque section at CBR you will be very close to the food court, main pool, bus stop, etc.

My wife and I stay at CBR most of the time. If you have an American Express card, my wife found a discount rate for American Express card holders on mousesavers.com. I believe that the rate was for $94 per night a little over one hundred after you add the tax. This is what made use able to go in May along with the trip we were planning in December.

I would suggest changing to CBR. The rooms are bigger than ASMo and the kids would love the pool. Hope this helps.

Stay with ASMo !!! You're kids are the perfect ages to enjoy this resort. Since you have a 2 yr old, you will probably have a crib in your room. We have stayed at both mods and AS and have found we actually had LESS room at the mods since they have a large armoire, and an extra "sitting bench". The only way I would choose a moderate over all stars were if the price were within less than $10/night difference. The only thing we miss at All Stars is the extra sink -- we have to co-ordinate who's doing their teeth at what moment ! CBR is also very spread out which can be a bit tiring for the littlest one. Whatever you decide will be the right choice !

It may be a little tight with three kids at ASMo. We stayed there in jan and loved it!!! Can you use the code from mousesavers.com for the mods ( $94 a night??? )It falls on your dates... We got it for CBR for early May. We've never stayed there, but since you are going for seven nights, it would be nice to have some more amenities and the larger room. Good luck!!!

I think with the promo codes, CBR is running only about $10 per night than the All Stars. It may be worth it.

For what your paying for 2 rooms at ASMusic would you consider a delux that sleeps 5. Ask about the Contemp. garden rooms.Youcan get them for under $200.00.

I have been told only DL moderate can sleep 5 with trundle bed

Thumbs up for CBR..
I would switch.. My daughter had a ball playing in the beach area at night..
We had building 25, and there was NO bad views there..

Good luck!!

Check out my web sites with pictures and info all about CBR! It's a beautiful resort with larger rooms than the All Stars, and even larger than the other moderates! I think your children would love this resort. Both of my sons, ages 10 and 13, didn't want to leave when we were splitting our stay between CBR and the Grand Floridian! :D

OKAY, I gotta go against the crowd here and say, STAY, STAY, STAY! Did you get the discounts for ASMo which are supposed to be active until 6/22? HERE's why I say STAY: the kids will LOVE the movies, with 2 rooms, you get privacy and w/2 rooms you get TWO BATHROOMS!!! That in itself is a big plus! No matter if the other mod is a bit bigger, it is still not worth crowding into ONE room instead of two and did I mention the extra bathroom, lol.

Thanks .... Thats what my husband said, he'd rather pay for 2
rooms and have 2 bathrooms and 2 tvs. Yes, we did get the
promo rate. I guess we're staying, I just thought that CBR
would be more of a resort getaway, but I lost out. Either way
we're at Disney :bounce:

Thanks again,
Cheryl
