Should I change PBH Deluxe room to Bay View?

Hi :wave2:

I have booked a Deluxe room for 3 nights in October at the PBH, however these rooms are listed as having a pool view. I have since decided that I think I would prefer a Bay View afterall, but not sure if they have any deluxe rooms with Bay View.

Is there much difference between the standard Bay View rooms and the Deluxe rooms? Just not sure which I prefer, the bigger room (there's only 2 of us) or the Bay View...please help me decide!! I would also love a balcony or patio if at all possible.

Thanks

We had a Deluxe Bay View room in January. We loved it. We could see the water taxi coming and get down to the plaza and over to the dock in plenty of time.

Call and request a deluxe bay view. They probably won't promise you, but you certainly can ask.

I would not switch to bay view. The deluxe rooms offer more room as well as a whirlpool bath. I would chance not getting a bay view than give up a deluxe room. If you arrive at the resort early you may have a pretty good chance of getting a bay view deluxe.

Either way, you will still have a deluxe room. If you put in a request for a Deluxe Bay View room and there are none available, you still have a reservation for a deluxe room.

I would make the request and see what happens. You are not risking your deluxe room, simply requesting a deluxe bay view room, if available at check in.

Thanks for the replies. I just wasn't sure if a Deluxe room with a Bay View was an option as the website says that the deluxe rooms have pool views. If there is a chance I can get a Deluxe Bay View then I think I will stick with the Deluxe.

Thanks

There are not many deluxe bay views so your chances are not that great. They are mostly on the 5th and 6th floor of the Villa wing before it curves around by the pools. These are usually reserved as club level rooms but not always. There are also some on the top floor of the West wing but they are connecting rooms to Villa parlors. You have a better chance of a balcony if you book a standard bay view as this category has the most balcony rooms.

I been in Deluxe rooms many times at the PBH and I never had a whirlpool tub. The only difference was that the tub and shower were seperate in the deluxe room.

RyGuy is right as always. We have stayed in both bay view and deluxe and I would have to go with bay view. We have been lucky enough to land a bay view deluxe on one occasion which was sensational.
We had connecting deluxe rooms once that had a view of a grassy field and were over 800 feet from the central club lounge. You couldn't find a room that was quieter but not the room for us.
