Should I change my reservation?

We are thinking of changing our reservations from Thanksgiving week, to the first week of October.

What do you think? A good choice? I am thinking it would be a lot less crowded, but the parks will be open less hours a day.

Suggestions?

I think you will still get way more done even without the extra hour.

If you can go in October, I would. I agree with other posters. During less busy times, you can see just as much in fewer hours -- and you don't feel nearly as "run ragged" when you do it that way.

Ok, I am thinking we are going to change it, no reason not too! Glad everyone is in agreement, that means that much less of a countdown!

We went in October for our Honeymoon and LOVED IT! It was not busy. The weather was pleasant without being scorching hot. We were able to do everything we wanted to do even though the hours were shorter.

It will also be hotter, something to consider! less crowded for certain... you could more likely do water parks then do to the extra heat, we went the last week in october we had VERY hot days (i live in georgia for a heat referance) and some pretty darn cold i need pants days too. Also you will have to work around the halloween parties because magic kingdom closes at 7 for some days for them... i went to one once didn't think it was worth the money but to each their own... but what i did love was the haunted trail ride i did at fort wilderness... it was a carriage ride with the sleepy hollow story and at the end the real headless horseman rides up all in your face it was great and only 60 bucks for up to 5 people (2 adults, 3 children) i had to call disney reservations directly to get it and it wasn't really advertised i heard about it from word of mouth.
