We arrive at OKW next Saturday (June 16) with 8 adults and 7 children. We are staying in 2 2-bedrooms for 7 nights and this is what our reservation looks like...

Travel Plan #4xxxxxxxx133
Disney's Old Key West Resort
2 Bedroom Villa
June 16, 2012 - June 23, 2012
Total Vacation / Reservation Points Used None

First of 4 Accommodations in Travel Plan

**This is actually 2 rooms on June 16 AND 2 rooms on June 22...it is NOT a full 7-night reservation. The "4 Accommodations in Travel Plan" refers to 2 nights in each 2BR. This was the part that was booked with cash.**

I was thinking about calling the resort directly about 3 days before we arrive. I want to make sure that the room assigners are clear on the fact that we have a contiguous 7-night reservation and that we are travelling as a group.

After reading posts about reservations getting altered/deleted after contacting MS, I'm wondering if there is a risk in calling the resort. Are they able to access my account and points? In my case, there is no need to do anything to the reservation like add a request. I just want to make sure that they see it as one reservation.

WWYD? Would you call to verify it or just have faith that the system worked correctly and everything will be in order when you arrive:confused3?

There is no room assigner at the resort to call. Since Disney has moved to computerized room assignment, they don't take calls/faxes/etc. any longer.

And yes, resort staff have screwed up people's accounts/points in the pasts when trying to change things around at check-in - so that's a legitimate fear.

Why does your top item though say June 23 when the rest all says June 22 and that's what you wrote as well?

I would just NOT do on-line check in and I would make sure to mention the continuing reservation when you check in.

It is a confusing reservation, no doubt (or looks that way to me).

Our total stay is June 16-23 but we booked the first and last night on cash. The first reservation number includes 2 rooms for the 16th and 2 rooms for the 22nd...but NOT the nights in between. That's why that first one has me confused:confused3. The "4 accommodations" are 2 2BR's x 2 nights. The second reservation is ONE of the 2BRs booked on points for 5 weeknights. The third reservation is the other 2BR booked on points for the 5 weeknights.

When I booked the reservation at the 11-month mark, I made it abundantly clear that we do NOT want to switch rooms. The CM confirmed that it would be treated as a contiguous reservation and we would not need to switch. I'm still not 100% convinced. I'm also not entirely trustworthy of Disney's computer system.

If the cash rooms were through MS (really points rooms) as is my impression from your post, then you should be OK. If any are CRO cash, then you may be able to stay in the same unit but may not.

I've done member cash nights + points nights at OKW and it was always one reservation. I've also done points nights + AP rate night and did not have to change rooms, just had to get new keys.

There is one major thing that I have learned over the years.

The more complex anything is, the greater chance of problems, especially at Disney.

All you can do is talk to the Front Desk at check in, good luck and have a great vacation.
