Should I call Disney to check for pin?

I'm planning an October 2010 trip (see sig!) and while there realy aren't any codes or pins out for that time yet, I was wondering if I should call Disney occassionally to see if any pins are attached to my name? I do get e-mail offers a lot, but just wondering if I might be missing something?

There are a few offers out there for October already. They started showing up in Nov/December as 'year round' pins. I got one the first of December and it basically includes all year until 12/15 minus peak holidays (easter and July 4th). These pins have been coming out a for a while as well as ones good just thru June (got that one too) and variations of the discounts. Some got 20/30/40% off and some got 30/35/45% off. Free dining pins have also started to circulate and while I'm not sure they run into October they definately include September. I would call and check you really dont have anything to lose.

I called today and had the 30/35/45% off attached to my name. Didn't get any emails or anything in the mail. Still hoping for free dining... but I'll take what I can get.

407-w-disney...there was a PIN attached to my name! Unfortunately it was a "useless" one. Free QS dining and for May 2-Aug 14. But th every helpful CM said to keepo checking as the PINS for dates that far out aren't really out yet. Should be some more in a few weeks.

I just called and have a pin but not for the dates I want. I wonder if theyll send out another one that goes to the end of the year

I called last week to see if I got a pin. A couple days later I got one!!!!! It's good for the remainder of 2010...so we're all booked!!!

I'm not sure if it was just a coincidence, but it won't hurt to ask!

Bounceback is booked while you are at WDW. There are sometimes flyers in your room or in your welcome packet, though other Dis'ers report not getting the info. They read about the bounceback offer here and then went to the front desk at their resort to ask about the offer.

I plan on going October 2010 also. I'm going to call and check what pins I have attached to my name. I know I have one that goes to June but I'm pretty sure I have one for the whole year that I deleted (through email).

Aren't you able to book it with free QS and then just pay to upgrade? I believe you would just have to pay the difference between the QS and the regular DDP.

It can't hurt! Just don't get frustrated if there aren't any (like I did!) One eventually showed up on my acct.....never in my email or snail.....

I had gotten a pin for travel last fall but since I am a teacher, I could not take advantage of it But thanks to the DIS boards, I called, gave them the pin number and then she said I also had the 30/35/40% off code But I had never received an e-mail with it so it definitely paid to call because I booked my upcoming April trip right then

I would say yes. I had been calling and checking off and on since Nov and no pin. I call yesterday and after 5 min the CM found something for Sept 20/25/30% off. I bet you if I had not changed my reservation then to the new discounted rate, and called back later I wouldn't have gotten it. I think sometimes it just depends on who you get.

I usually ask about a specific date and resort availability and then aske the CM if they tell me if I have a discount code that would work for this time frame and resort. Usually if I do it this way they are really happy to help. If I call and just ask if I have a discount code that's when I usually get CM's who are less helpful.
