We're going to be in Orlando from about 3/11 - 3/17...do you think it would be worth it to buy the Orlando Entertainment book for the discounts?

Has anyone ever done this and if so, was it worth it?

Thanks! :)

I buy the Orlando Entertainment book just about every year I go. It works for me because I stay offsite. Just eating at a few places will pay for the book. I use the car coupons a lot. And if you go to Universal, there is the free meal/movie deal coupon this year. Also at Universal you can go to the restaurant "Trattoria del porto" at the Portofino, use your card and get a buy one get one meal. Nice break in the day if you are going to IOA or Universal Studios.
If you are staying onsite, then it's probably not worth it.

There was a recent thread for item and it provided a link for getting it at half price. I'll try and find it...if it wasnt here it was on the budget boards.

I wasn't planning on getting it but for $15 I decided to order it. We're off-site for this trip and doing Sea World, Universal and some other non-Disney events so it should pay for itself (I hope!) It should arrive very soon. I just received my shipping notification.

As Spicey mentioned the Orlando Magic Card is free so check that out first. I can answer any question on the Entertainment Book after it arrives.

I've printed the Magicard - hope I remember to use it!

Tinkerbeth .... I leave on 3/12 - we overlap by a day!!

Well we're staying offsite this time. I already ordered the magic card (along with every other visitor info package I could find... ;) ) and I've printed out some ponderosa coupons as well.

If anyone knows where we could get it for 1/2 price, that would be great. I think I'll order it in the next few days so it will come in time. We used to have the toronto one and it paid for itself many times over. :)

Thanks everyone! pixiedust:

Well, I bought it! I hope it gets here in time. i found that link on the budget board. I only paid 20 dollars for it including shipping so it should pay for itself in a couple of meals.

Thanks again everyone! I'll let you know if it was worth it. :) :) :)

if you go to fatwallet.com and sign up you get a $5 rebate and then if you buy the orlando book for $20 you get another $5 rebate and a $25 gift certificate to be used anywhere (diningdough.com). You can't actually get the two rebates until after 90 days but I am willing to wait. Also in any entertainment book, there is a coupon for universal citywalk, get a free movie and meal.

I buy the FT. Worth book, but have found that I can use the card from my book at the restaurants listed in the Orlando book if the number hasn't been punched or voided by using it here in Texas. I bought the Orlando book since it was on sale...when I get it I'll post the numbers of the restaurants by name and maybe it'll help someone else. :thumbsup2 Barb
