I have Birnbaum's wdw 2001 and Mini Mickey unoffical guide 2001 which I used the touring plan in Mini Mickey in 2001 with great success...no lines. I am now planning a trip for May 2004, should I buy new books, or can I just use my old plan?
Thanks for your help.

We go every year and I do not get a new one for each trip. The last one I had was an 01 and I broke down and got an 04. I cannot get over the price increase on those books. Not much is changed in them, but there are some updates. I always stick with Birnbaum's.

Yes- go get the Unofficial Guide to WDW by Bob Sehlinger for 2004. The touring plans from your Mini Mickey are from the 2001 version of the same book - but there are new rides and EE was come and go in 2001 - so there will be quite a bit of update. I love my UG!!

I had the 2002's of the Unofficial Guide, Birnbaums, and the Passporter. As a Valentine gift my husband updated me to the 2004 version of each.

If you could only get one update, I'd reccomend the Passporter. They specifically highlight all changes from the 2003 edition. You won't need all the deeper insight that the Unofficial guide will give you, but there is much more factual information in the Passporter along with updated touring plans. If you just want to look over and enthuse about rides, you will enjoy the Passporter.

I don't buy new ones every year. My first Birnbaums I purchased was 2001, but it got so used up that the pages start falling apart, so I went and got 2003 and this time I am going to be a bit more careful. I also like the Unofficial Guide to Disney/Universal. I got the 2001 edition.
