Should I buy it on eBay? UPDATE

I've been watching the Fur Real Friend kitty DD wants for her birthday for about a week on eBay. They're sold out of all stores and they've been going for higher prices in the past few days.

Do I grab one now, using "Buy It Now", which will mean I'll pay at least 20.00 more than retail, or do I take my chances at finding one?


I gave in late last night and bought one on eBay. DD's birthday is 2 weeks from today so I'll have it in time.

I only know what I've read here about this item but, $20 more sounds better than double the price (possibly) if it goes through a full auction. I'd say Buy it Now if she really must have it.

That's what I did...I needed two of them and luckily got both from the same seller.

I use the "but it now" feature all the time.. if I really want it and price is right.. then you can just relax... Good luck..

I KNEW that you were going to say this when I opened the thread!
I don't know what to tell you as I have the same issue. I have my rainchecks in at Toys R Us and I am hoping for now that they come thru.
If I can't get it, I just don't know if I will buy one on ebay. The jury is still out on that.

I have a daughter who's ten and wants one, so I am NOT going to overpay. My 6 year old just wanted to add it to her list and I told her no one can get one now and even Santa has to buy sometimes from Toys R Us cause he can't make EVERYTHING! I told her there would be plenty after Christmas. I will continue to hope for the best online or in stores.

But if my kids were younger and it was the main thing on the list, I would absolutely overpay. Go for it and be happy!

The prices on eBay are going up and I didn't get one yet. I had a good laugh tonight, I just heard that my niece planned to "pick one up at the mall tomorrow" for her god-daughter.

I see some "Buy It Now's" listed for $45.99...not too bad, considering FAO sells theirs for $48.

Dig deep into the newly listed...there are currently 64 pages of Fur Reals
