Should I book FP+ for last day of trip first if not getting A&E?

This will be our first trip using FP+ / MDE. I've read from multiple posters and on blogs that you should go to the last day of your trip to book FPs and work your way backwards, but I''m unclear that it just the strategy for A&E (which my two boys do not care to do), or if that strategy will net us the best choices overall. I am interested in scoring 7DMT passes for both of our MK days (which are days 3 & 5 of our 6 day trip). Should I still start booking last day first? I wonder if I do that, if all of the good FPs for the first days of our trip (EP, mainly) will be gone once I work my way backwards.

A&E and/or 7DMT would be the only reason to book backwards. I've had zero issues getting other FP+ (TSMM, Soarin', etc.) when starting from the first day of our trip.

Only for 7DMT, and with a longer trip, you should be OK.

thanks! I have a ton of anxiety that the only days I'll be able to get 7dmt are days we have ressies to be in other parks...

I think it makes sense to start out with most important to you. If 7DMT is the most important, then start there. If TSMM or Soarin' is more important, then start there.

We followed Josh's recommended park days, and there was plenty of 7DMT availability on everything but our first day.
