We are going in August (1 adult & 2 children) for 5 nights. Should I book the BWI or Studio at BWV? We are getting room only and buying passes separately since we won't be at the parks every day. Let me know what would be better.

The inn room will have 2 queens and possibly a small daybed. The studio room will have 1 queen, 1 pull out sofa/sleeper and possibly a small daybed. The studio will also have a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker.

How old are your kids?

The BWV studio will have a kitchenette with a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and paper plates and bowls/plastic utensils, if that would be of importance to you. How old are the children? BWV studios have one queen bed and a pull-out double sized sofa bed; I believe BWI rooms have two queen beds. If there's not much of a price difference I'd go with the BWV studio because of the kitchenette.

Edited to add: Looks like Debbie and I posted at the same time!

I don't know when you're making your trip, but you may be able to rent points from a DVC member and get a studio or 1BDR at BWV for a good price. I don't know how much Disney charges for a studio, but a standard 1BDR at BWV is 16 points/night (Sun.-Thurs.) during the lowest season. This would be about $160/night total if you rented the points. A studio would be even less (but standard studios book up very quickly). I've never stayed at BWI but I have stayed at BWV and really liked it.
